Ugh, all these guys leaving is getting pretty frustrating. Hopefully we start getting some better news about new guys coming in!

He’s from philipsburg/drummond I think. I would guess he’s going Frontier.
I don’t think it’s a NIL thing. Not anything to be frustrated or upset about.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

No, he was a grey shirt from the 2021 class and dealt with a few back injuries. Great kid and family! The "who?" post seemed like a reduction of a kid that gave all he could while he was here.

Are there any players who don’t give their all for the team, including those leaving for what they perceive a better situation for their futures?

Re: Kade Cutler in portal
Had no idea as I don’t spend my life watching football or prospects.
Too many miles, not enough time.
So I asked. I don’t usually have time to write a book like some, so it was short and on point.
Compared to much of the “speculation and assumptions” posted lately, it was very classy.
Even a little lassie.
And, Tom, it is still a great day to be a Bobcat! All of ‘em.

I made your exact same “Who?” post last season when some WR used the portal and left. Had never heard of him during the 2022 season and it wasn’t meant as an insult, I genuinely did not know just as I haven’t heard of this player. I didn’t wish him ill will, it was a question.DMMDCats wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 1:44 pmHad no idea as I don’t spend my life watching football or prospects.

I was met with pretty much the same response.

Even if it’s a genuine question not meant to be demeaning, and I believe it was, it also takes 30 seconds to search the MSU roster to see how old someone is, position, where they’re from, etc.PapaG wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:04 pmI made your exact same “Who?” post last season when some WR used the portal and left. or a search within this forum itself to find their name in the recruiting thread.
Intent doesn’t come across in typed words. So a simple question of “who?” can easily be misconstrued as disrespectful to that player, implying they weren’t an important part of the team anyway.

No idea. I took it as a slight towards the player and it seems it wasn't, so my apologies.PapaG wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 1:38 pmAre there any players who don’t give their all for the team, including those leaving for what they perceive a better situation for their futures?
I just see some negative posts towards a player that transfers out and none of us have any idea why they're leaving. Some leave for bigger programs and on the opposite side of the spectrum, some have their scholarships pulled and are told to look elsewhere, and then there are numerous reasons in between those. Just don't like seeing the negative comments directed towards kids that are just playing a sport.

Also takes posters 30 Seconds to reply that info instead of attacking the responseCatsrgrood wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:27 pmEven if it’s a genuine question not meant to be demeaning, and I believe it was, it also takes 30 seconds to search the MSU roster to see how old someone is, position, where they’re from, etc.PapaG wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:04 pmI made your exact same “Who?” post last season when some WR used the portal and left. I regards to scholarships pulled. Would exit meeti gs with players have occured this week. Would think if kids were told they were losing it, or didn't get one they may leave.ND0479 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 2:30 pmNo idea. It’d take me 30 seconds to look it up myself and then another 30 seconds to respond. Who has that kind of time?

Re: Kade Cutler in portal
I know his family extremely well! Great people! Had a great conversation with his mom this summer, injuries absolutely derailed his career. Hurt his shoulder his senior of high and it never healed right. Hurt it again in freshman and has had multiple surgeries already. Definitely a kid looking for a fresh healthy start, at this point because of injuries he is definitely behind in development. This is a classic sad case of college sports, it helps out all this NIL stiff in perspective also! Go get it while you can.

Get what while you can? Such ****** advice. If your school is getting paid for and you get to play in front of actual fans, what are we talking about? Kade isn’t getting more than 10k his entire career, get it while you can? If he wants to play in NAIA then go, but to say get it while you can is so dumb. He probably won’t get a dime in the naia other than playing time. Which is fine if he wants to play then do it.It’s the old follow the leader, say what everybody says, lions not sheep people.spring creek cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:31 pmI know his family extremely well!
