Sprinkle is building a mid-major power in one of the highest concentrations of wealth in the U.S. There's no way in hell he sacrifices short term growth for long term gain and wealth. Big Sky and Moonlight Basin are destination locations and the Gallatin Valley will continue to enjoy peripheral benefits of that area up the canyon.Catbasketball20 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 5:25 pmI think we can wrap up the Coach Sprinkle to USU with the Jackson Grant commitment. So are you saying Danny was offered the Utah State job and declined or he removed himself from consideration? And other jobs as well? Just curious, I haven't read anything that has provided much clarity into the hiring process.Cat Grad wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 7:30 pmWish this site had a like button. Re: Utah State job is open...
It's all just rumors and speculation at this point. The truth ranges somewhere between Coach Sprinkle never having been under consideration for the USU job to him accepting the USU job tomorrow and being gone by the end of the week. Hopefully USU makes up their mind soon one way or the other!MT Logger wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 8:11 pmSo are you saying Danny was offered the Utah State job and declined or he removed himself from consideration? I'd rather MSU lose Sprinkle than Costello, but it's pretty unlikely that either can be retained for too much longer even if Sprinkle doesn't go to USU.

Worst case scenario. The interim AD hires Sprinkle. They hire Cruzado as their new President. Cruzado hires Costello as the new AD.

I don't want to look too deep into that yet because apparently that jet is owned by Marko Zaninovich, CEO of Sunview Vineyards. He's a big supporter of agricultural schools and USU is one of them as well. Bad timing yes. But that jet arrived at 4:30 yesterday. Jet could be contracted out but it doesn't seem heavily likely considering what I've heard from inside the program. Going to need something damning to really go from there.
Most of that info I wrote above is from the USU board.

Doesn’t Utah State need a president ad well? Cruzado, Costello, and Sprinkle…quite the coup. I kid I kid!

Yea I was getting ready to respond but I think he meant he didn't think he'd ever see an FCS school on the Message Board Geniuses Twitter timeline, which I think is a valid observation. So I let it slide...AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 10:05 amThis guy and he roots for…wait for it…Wyoming. Hilarious. Good luck in that next Potato Bowl.

Maybe someone in the Bozeman area that has some free time today should go to the airport and keep an eye out for any familiar faces from our athletic department. If you want to do it under cover perhaps you could get into a garbage can like in that GEICO commercial. I'd do it myself but it's too far away.MSU01 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 5:21 amGet ready, everyone.

Re: Utah State job is open...
MSU hoops is trending nicely but still isn’t even close to being a “mid-major power” from an objective lens and likely won’t get there given the conference and alumni/booster/fan emphases on football.Cat Grad wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 7:30 pmWish this site had a like button. Wouldn’t Utah State be a step down for Waded as a university president at this point?
