Nice crowd for the montana-ISU game. Both Bengal and griz fans turned out pretty good. Not so much for Weber and Sac. Weber's fan support of this tournament the years I've gone has been pretty bad. This year is probably the worst.

So the Cats are the highest remaining seed. Then why would we not play the lowest remaining seed which is NAU. Weber is the second highest remaining seed.

Well, I was wondering why the CATS and Ewoo played their first game on Sunday but the gris, IdSt, Sacramento and Weebs were off until Monday. I would have thought the top two would have had "the break" and played last. Did I miss something?

Like the FCS playoff bracket, this tournament isn't re-seeded after each round. Once the bracket is set the matchups are fixed. As for why EWU and MSU played earlier quarterfinals, that was intentionally done to reward the top 2 seeds with an extra day of rest between the quarters and semis.

The idea is to limit the higher seeds playing in back to back days, in theory, giving them fresher legs. The winners from yesterdays games now have to play again today while we had a day off in between our games.

The first men's semi-final is on ESPNU
The second is on ESPN2.
The women's final is on ESPNU tomorrow afternoon and the men's final is on ESPN2
This is the "payoff" for having tournament early in the week.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m hoping for a cat-griz matchup in the chipper!
Weber looks great tonight, our Cats will need to play their best tomorrow to even get that far! Griz fans can officially stop complaining about MSU's 2021 football playoff bracket after they get to play defense-optional ISU and the #9 seed to get to the title game.
I hope NAU takes care of business and knocks the gris out of the tourney tonight. My biggest fear is that after sweeping them 5-0 in the major sports during the regular season, that they'll beat us in the tourney championship game. I'm having flashbacks to 2002, when we won the regular season title, beat them by 20 twice during the regular season, and then lost to them in the tourney semi-finals. They played as well as any team in the BSC during the 2nd half of the conference schedule. After going 3-6 in the 1st half, they went 7-1 in the 2nd half. We beat them twice, but both games went down to the wire. I'd much rather play NAU for all those reasons, plus I always want them to lose, so the earlier they lose in the tourney, the better. I'm sure their arrogant fans all think they're a lock to win the tourney, now that EWU is out, so it would be sweet to see them get knocked out tonight, and not even get to the championship game. I agree with you though, that we shouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves. We'll have to play our best to beat Weber tonight, so we need to worry about them first.

I hate to say it, but the griz looked really good last night-especially in the second half. Floppy Moody is so cocky-you can tell he lives for these moments. He's hitting everything he chucks at the rim. They had two close games with NAU in the regular season so it could go either way, but the way the griz have been playing I wouldn't bet against them in this one.

Our game with Weber will be ugly. It's just how they play. Belo had his worst weekend as a Bobcat the last time we played them. I expect him to do a lot better. We've also got some swagger and I think that's good.

Who had NAU as the ONLY school left with both teams still playing today on their bingo card?

I have a bad feeling the gris will win out. they got freaking lucky with ewu losing. I think we have a tough game but should pull it out and they will have an easier game so that might come into play.

Two hot teams in the NAU vs UM game. Both won by one during regular season. NAU lost a ton of one score games all year. Their only loss in last five games was in by one in overtime. UM’s only lost 😠 nice in last last nine but played a light schedule. Split with Weber and MSU.

This schedule makes it possible for a team to relax and play their whole bench during the season develop depth and if they can beat the other bottom feeder, they can get a bye into the semi with a win against a top seed. In other words, win two games eatly and you are basically a top seed.

If you are still in Boise, check out Hyde Park. Great food and beverages in a restored neighborhood that has a small town vibe and not crowded.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Yep, took me a bit to figure out why it was set up that way. For any of the experts on here, is that a huge benefit? So UM for example, if they win it means they’ll have had games three nights in a row, vs just two for Cats. How big of a deal is that.

We'll see. It certainly looked like it in the women's semi between NAU and EWU. EWU looked a little gassed and NAU ran away from them.

Sports Bet has both MSU and UM as 5.5 point faves tonight. I’m thinking both will be closer, will probably throw some $$ on that. Who knows…..
