Well I-94 is closed from Dickinson to Fargo, so hope that gets cleared in the next day or so. My daughter lives south of Fargo and is on day 2 of no school and a bunch of snow.
511 ND currently shows I-94 is open. Do you have any additional updates? Thank You!
This site which shows all the Western US sites and cameras shows that “part” of I94 is open on west side of state but closed from Dickinson to Fargo. Just expand the view once you open. Click on camera links if you want to see the road conditions.

I remember the 2014 playoff game in Bozeman vs SDSU was played in a blizzard as well. Probably wasn't as cold as this will be, though.
I played in that game and it was if I remember correct 5 degrees at kickoff. The nuts thing about is Friday was something like 45 degrees and sunny. Then that storm blew in and man that was a cold game. Only played on the punt team. Only punted one time that game and it was in the 4th quarter.
According to official game record on the msu website, it was 1 degree at kickoff in the 2014 game.
Either during the game or after the game immediately it was six below zero if I remember correctly. I’ll have to see if I remember how to post pictures here when I get a minute

Thanks, BobcatDel! Just found, according to travel.dot.nd.gov., the message as of 9 a.m. this morning is that I-94 is open in ND, including the interstate between, Dickinson and Fargo, so who knows

I really enjoy using the Montana Road Conditions Facebook page as individuals are usually updating conditions on a regular basis. I haven’t looked to see if the Dakotas have something similar.

No, that was this morning early. Guessing they got it cleared off. That's good if so.

It didn’t look like the snow was removed from the seating area in the Holy Cross game. First game had about 6,100; second about 6,500. I think it holds around 20,000. I think the temp was around 12 both games.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Channeling my best Bill and Mary fan:
This is absurd. Can't believe we got so screwed we're asked to play SDSU on Saturday. Can they screw us any worse? I think SDSU is just letting it snow there to screw us. Can you imagine what the field is going to be like? I don't think outdoor schools should be allowed to host playoff games if there is a chance of snow and cold. I personally wasn't thinking it could be either cold OR snowy at SDSU in December, but I think it's just ridiculous.
How the hell are our Chuck Taylors going to handle these field conditions?!

It's a hazard to players and fans at this point. Somebody needs to do something about this travesty.

I wasn't into the "Bill and Karen" line some were using before the game. No problem with it, I just wasn't going to say it. But after all the excuses and complaints, Bill and Karen it is. Maybe even Karen and Karen.

Posted this in the road reports thread as well.
I-90 is open from WY state line to Rapid City now, but is still closed from Rapid City to Mitchell. All secondary highways are No Travel Advised recommendations. They cancelled school here in Rapid City due to white out conditions. Snow through the am and sustained winds 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph today and continuing into tomorrow. For those travelling...stay safe.

Hi Cat Fans… I’m in Rapid City. Came over for a rodeo yesterday. The rodeo has been cancelled due to weather and road conditions. Several roads including I90 are closed north, south, and especially east of here. I’m got here yesterday afternoon. Came along I90 from Billings. Lucked out and avoided a re-closure between Sheridan and Buffalo. They closed it back up an hour or so after I went through because of icy roads and poor visibility. Windy all the way to Rapid City from Buffalo. At around Sundance it started snowing and continued into RC. Roads are snow covered and slick. Checked both the 511 maps (apps) and again there are a bunch of closures in SD. I90 has closures from Sheridan to Buffalo. Around Rapid City it is very windy and roads are drifting quickly. Can’t speak for here to Brookings other than the 511 app. It shows closed.
Just posting for any Bobcat fans that may be driving and thinking about taking these routes. Be careful everyone if you are going to the game.

The coldest game I remember going to was a Portland State at home. Dont remember the year but it was around -12 by the end. If I remember we were up like 30 at half and won by 40+. PSU looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there that day.
