Deer Lodge is coached by Bobcats Andrew Verlanic and Mac Bignell. Coach Verlanic is facing possible termination for changing sidelines so the HOME crowd can't harass the HOME team. I don't know if I have the whole story, but if Coach loses his job for training to protect his kids I think that's a big pile of B.S. It's really no wonder that folks don't want to be officials or coaches.

There is a story out now about a Massachusetts HS coach that just quit due to non-stop verbal abuse he and the staff have suffered all season...

Sounds like a terrible situation and the administrators are just looking for a fall guy (but are so incompetent that they didn't realize they can't even accomplish that).

It has been a disaster for a long time coming. If I was Alex or Mac, I would walk away and let the school officials fend for themselves.
