This is a great buy/sell. I also like how you hedged with "until he graduates" since he'll have eligibility post undergrad degree.

Assuming we tie graduation/eligibility together, I think it will be much easier to answer by Christmas. If he make a big jump by the end of the season I'd buy but if it's there's only moderate growth then I'd probably sell because Vigen will continue to bring in strong recruits and every offseason will be a competition for QB1 (nobody will ever be the presumed QB1).

A Power 5 School will "poach" at least one of our young up and coming OL studs again after this season?

Great question!

Let us know if anyone else has any questions for the pod tonight, recapping EWOOOO and talking some Aggies.

What worries you more with UC Davis; Ulonzo Gilliam or their passing game?

Don't try to weasel your way out of answering the question everyone wants an answer to. You've dodged it for a week or two but I'M BRINGING IT BACK!!!

Who wins in a fight between 1 Titan Fleischmann sized Taco Dowler and 10 Taco Dowler sized Titan Fleischmann's?

I'm also still wondering how you guys are feeling about Kenneth Eiden. Buy or Sell: Kenneth Eiden has a better stat line than Brody Grebe had last year at the end of the season.

Does our defense have a scheme problem? Will it get better just by getting Rylan Ortt back? Who's the best linebacker not named Callahan O'Reilly?

HYPOTHETICALLY! If Chambers does take over QB1, what position do you think Tommy is best suited to play other than QB? He has to get on the field and more than every 5-10 plays a game being a gadget QB. Where do you see him, especially with an eye towards next year and where we may need to replace some outgoing seniors?

Buy or sell:

Chambers breaks the single season rushing TD record.

The 2022 team breaks the single season rushing yards record.

Bonus: In which game do they break it? (originally mean this for the team but it applies to both)

  • Over/Under....The 2022 Bobcat offense with a healthy Ifanse & Mellot would score 21.5 points vs a healthy 2021 Bobcat defense.
  • If the Bobcat defense doesn't improve and have a good showing against WSU on Oct 22nd, will they ever improve this year?

Where does Rylan Ortt make his presence most known? Pass D or run D?

As of right now, do you bring Willie Mack back as DC next year? Seeing the turmoil in Boise State currently (firing their OC) do you think Kane Ioane comes available next season and if so, do we make a king's ransom to bring him back?

I think he makes a huge difference just being in the right spot. Also being healthy, as much as it sucked having him out. A fresh starter in October ain’t bad. Hopefully he lays some lumber Saturday.

I think he frees up Okada to be more aggressive again too. It seems to me (with my untrained eye) that Ty is trying to compensate for our holes on the back-end and isn't playing with his "hair on fire" mentality that he normally plays with.

Good thing we don't have to lock in next year's staff after 5 games. There's a lot of season left and the defense hasn't cost us a game yet. They haven't played great but they've played well overall and will likely improve as the season progresses as everyone gets more comfortable, including Garza.

I can agree with that sentiment. I think back to that one knock down he had against UCD in the middle of the field he looked like he was covering a 40 square yard* zone. I like to watch the players pre snap, he never gets a break communicating. But that probably comes with being apart of the senior leadership.

I am just really excited to add a healthy body back into the mix, especially one who was a projected starter. Next up is Rygg! Fingers crossed!

It was just a question to create conversation. I'm actually pro Coach Garza. For some reason the defense seems to come in with a game plan that doesn't really work (EWU scoring 2 quick TD's right off the bat, UCD scoring 10 points in first 3 possessions) but after he sees what they're doing and he makes adjustments, we seem to be money for the rest of the game for the most part. I love the adjustments he makes. If we can get the starts of games figured out, we'll be dangerous.

A lot of this has to do with the film the team gets. McNeese had a whole new staff and team, OSU was a rising power without a stud TE so that changed their plan, EWU with the new QB, UCD only being 4 games in and running a trick play you just don’t have time in your day to even think about… once we get later in the season and other teams get to experience desperation plays, we will see all of that on film.
