I love Tommy. But to scream about our defense, scheme, whatever without signing him some blame here is not legitimate. He'll be fine, we'll be fine, but you can't make those throws i don't care who you're playing.

Yep. I'd like to see this get better and am hopeful. But when a good P5 plays a very good FCS team, this happens almost always.

Exceptions are rare.

Exceptions are rare.

Agreed. And the exceptions are almost always in game 1.

Conquering hero no doubt sounded sarcastic. My bad. It wasn't. The guy was legitimately that for us in the playoffs. But he's at least as much to blame for this first half as anybody. Would we have stopped them without the sudden change? Maybe not but those were bad bad picks and did not help.

Just remember this is against an average at worst Pac-12 team. This performance just means we aren't beating NDSU again this year, even with major improvements, which wasn't happening anyway. Outside of that it means just as much as last weeks game does. If anything it will give us plenty of film to study for self-scouting ahead of EWU.

For those of you saying we weren't supposed to compete and we're just happy to get paid, why? Why is that enough? I realize we aren't NDSU but they get paid to WIN against P5 teams. This isn't Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, USC, etc. etc. I don't think expecting a 10-14 point loss and only giving up 35 or so is too high of an expectation for a team wanting to compete for national championships.

We haven't slowed them down a bit. Tommy's picks were horrible but the defense has done nothing. Last year's team didn't do this.

Nolan is a good QB. In 50 pass attempts coming into the game he had 470 yards. He has been throwing a lot (they've had the ball a lot thanks to two INTs and KOR TD) tonight...22 passes 252 yards. You have to keep in mind that MSU's turnovers and the KO return has meant OSU has the ball a ton, so, yes they've been doing what they want, but the main reason for the high yardage total is due in part to the large number of plays they've been able to run.

Pretty sure some people criticized him and nobody argued. Yes those were bad picks. Just like you can't leave a third of the field wide open on third and 10.
