The move he makes to avoid the block was nice.

Hit the QB on a blitz, whiffed the sack but made QB step up into another defender as he threw and forced a INT.

Unfortunately that has been a problem in college. So fast and aggressive that he wiffs on some of those stationary targets who juke him.

That said, I say he makes pro bowl in 2 years.

looking at the depth chart they have troy #4 with nobody in 2 or 3...weird. listening to the interview with the coach makes you wonder if they are going to go after some other linebackers that were cut.

Troy will definitely see the field. Falcons staff does that with rookies in the depth chart.

I wouldn't read much into it, they cut the guys who were listed as 2nd and 3rd string, so probably just haven't had time to update it yet other than removing the cuts.

I wouldn't read much into it, they cut the guys who were listed as 2nd and 3rd string, so probably just haven't had time to update it yet other than removing the cuts.

I also think they're actively trying to trade Deion Jones. So that depth chart will definitely be fluid.

I saw him in there on the highlight of New Orleans' winning FG, so he did get at least some play on ST.

I live in the Atlanta area and recorded the game. Troy played mainly on special teams, and blocked a punt resulting in a touchdown towards the end of the game. They put him in at linebacker in the 2nd quarter. On his first play, he got an assist on a short pass

With the score Falcons 0 – Rams 7, with 10:13 left in the half, the Rams had it 3rd and 2 in the red zone. Rams ran the ball. Left tackle, #73, Dave Edwards, Wisconsin, grabbed Troy with both arms and slammed him on his back. They both rolled over and Troy got up and jumped on the pile. How this takedown in the middle of the field, point of attack, didn’t get called holding is beyond me!

With 9:57 left, 1st and goal, Rams scored. Troy was at the point of attack and was held again by #79, Rob Havenstein, another large specimen from Wisconsin. Big boy football!

I didn’t see Troy in at linebacker the rest of the game. I played football in high school, played end, offense and defense. I didn’t get into the scrum in the middle of the field much. If one of you big guys that played O-line could watch a replay, please chime in on the finer points of blocking
