Is there a list of schools that are not hung but should be? Do the empty spots indicate who should be there?

Re: Bobcat Athletic Complex...Construction
The helmets are hung in alphabetical order, so someone with a good knowledge of Montana high schools should be able to figure out what the gaps are. The one missing in the fourth row looks to be Centerville, in between Cascade to the left and Charlo to the right.

The index sheet that was previously on the wall identified which school was to be hung in every slot including the missing helmets. I don’t know who removed that sheet but I am hoping the TV monitor will have the index when operational.

It's there...5th row from the top, 4th spot in from the left. Just to the right of Columbia Falls.

Re: Bobcat Athletic Complex...Construction
I think that's on the 6th row, first on the left. Assuming they went with Custer County instead of Miles City alphabetically, it would make sense because Cut Bank is directly to the right.

4th row down, on the right...is that a Bobcat helmet? And directly to the left, is it a Carroll helmet? Pretty cool if they're doing the college helmets too.

Not if they put up a gris helmet. I saw the Cat script and thought the same thing though. Must be some high school since it doesn’t fit alphabetically.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 9:09 am4th row down, on the right...is that a Bobcat helmet? Agreed about the gris helmet. And I did a little checking. The Cats helmet is Circle (Wildcats) and I think the one I thought was a Carroll Helmet is a Choteau helmet.AFCAT wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 10:03 amNot if they put up a gris helmet. I was curious about the missing helmets so that if one of us has personal contacts with a school we might expedite a helmet contribution. Never know if a gris fan athletic director might be playfully dragging their feet.

I think one of the last two on the 4th from last row must be the Scobey Spartans. Shelby Coyotes is first on the next row.

Re: Bobcat Athletic Complex...Construction
I think you're right. The one between Scobey and Shelby alphabetically is Seeley-Swan. I know a guy there who can get a helmet. If I need to stop in there on my next trip to Bozeman to pick one up I'll deliver it. Scobey isn't exactly on the way though.RockyBearCat wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 11:14 amI think one of the last two on the 4th from last row must be the Scobey Spartans. I will talk to my parents. They still live in Scobey and might be able to deliver one to me here in Laurel. I can get it across the line.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 11:24 amI think you're right. The one between Scobey and Shelby alphabetically is Seeley-Swan. Re: Bobcat Athletic Complex...Construction
My best guess on who they're missing:
Centerville
Lockwood*
Lodge Grass
Missoula Loyola?
Poplar
Powder River County (Broadus)
Scobey
Seeley-Swan
Stevensville?
Turner?
Victor?
*Makes sense Lockwood hasn't given one yet, as I'm sure teams are donating helmets that are expired, which takes up to 10 years. Helmets are recertified every three years and after 10 years they can't be recertified again.

I thought it might be quicker to just ask for the decal and find/paint a older used helmet.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 11:51 amMy best guess on who they're missing:

Re: Bobcat Athletic Complex...Construction
That is easier IF you don't have one the school is getting rid of. If they have some they're getting rid of it's pretty simple. But you're getting different colored facemasks and possibly other decorations on the front and back of the helmets. They'd have to send them off to Riddell and Schutt to get the right paint too. I'm sure the helmet companies would do that for a steep discount for MSU though if that's the route they took. Could be what they did for Gallatin and East Helena.AFCAT wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 12:09 pmI thought it might be quicker to just ask for the decal and find/paint a older used helmet.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 11:51 amMy best guess on who they're missing:

Oh, I was thinking the equipment guys could work it up with a used helmet. There is even a guy that posts on BN once in a while that does a great job mocking up helmets.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 12:19 pmThat is easier IF you don't have one the school is getting rid of. Re: Bobcat Athletic Complex...Construction
I'm sure they could if they had to, but it's not easy. There are so many different shades of each color that I'm betting they're not mixing up a special shade of blue for one helmet. I do know they were asking back in the fall for people who had contacts with any of those schools to request a helmet, so that's the preferred method of getting one. It may be a good option for the last few remaining ones though. This is the time of year schools start getting helmets back from reconditioning and finding out which ones need to retire, so I'd bet those start trickling in.AFCAT wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 12:50 pmOh, I was thinking the equipment guys could work it up with a used helmet. The high school helmet display is a really cool idea...one thought...I'd also like to see a wall display with the Bobcat helmets through the years. From the leather days to todays "M" helmet.
