That was great! He's getting much more comfortable with interviews. Love how humble he's always been.

One thing I wish the interviewers and writers would do when they bring up his resume is mention that the Big Sky is one of the top 2 or 3 conferences at the FCS level. It's not one of the conferences that just sends one average team to the playoffs. It's very competitive and sends multiple teams (often multiple seeded teams). That makes his accomplishments prior to his senior year that much more impressive.

After striking gold with Nick Bolton in the second round a year ago, the Chiefs could keep upgrading the speed on the second level, as Andersen is an instinctive and rangy linebacker. He ran a 4.42 40 at the combine while weighing 243 pounds.

I don’t see Troy being on the board that late in the 3rd round. Mid-to-late 2nd is my guess.

Randy Moss has a legitimate case as the most talented WR in NFL history, and one could argue the best WR period. He “forced” a team to spend 3 high draft picks on CB’s just to help cover him (one of them was Joey Thomas). I love Troy as a player, he’s fantastic, I think he’ll have a good NFL career…but they aren’t remotely close to the same tier, level, impact, whatever you want to call it. Let’s just enjoy Troy for what he is.

Yeah, the simple fact that he's being talked about as a 2nd round pick at LB despite playing two of his four years of college on offense is pretty damn incredible on its own. I think all of us agree that Troy is going to be a very good NFL player and has the potential to develop into an elite one - just cross your fingers that your favorite team drafts him (or at least that your team's hated rival doesn't), and enjoy the ride!

I think there is as big a chance of Troy going in the first round as there is he doesn't get drafted at all. Zero way.

I'm concerned about him never benching, teams get stuck on stuff like that and he has had a decent history of injuries.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the 2nd or the 3rd with the end of the 3rd being a big let down. He shouldn't fall to the 4th.

@kmax , is that what you said about Singleton? Asking for a friend. I know you're a die hard Raiders fan, but the way I see it, how cool would it be for MSU to have two startees on the same NFL team, in the same position group even? That's never happened before. And how much would it get the MSU name out there to kids in the Denver Broncos viewing area? Think about when a potential recruit watches MNF and sees two darn good LB's annouce Montana State as their college; could that sway a kid towards playing for the Bobcats?

As a former NFL fan whose favorite team used to be Denver (Colorado family ties), I know I would have been over the moon if this would've had the chance of happening a decade ago.

I don't know what base defense the Broncos are going to be in under their new staff but it might be more likely that we have one Bobcat backing up the other than that they are both starters. I think this is why Alex said in a recent article (at least somewhat serious) that he hopes Troy goes to another team. It would be cool to have at least one Bobcat on the field for every defensive snap though.

I don’t like the Broncos, but I think it’s a great fit for him. The FEagles did him a favor.

If Minnesota signs Andersen he’ll be at least the third best player they’ve signed since ‘98 and best defensive player since whatever year Alan Page was drafted.
