Todd Mcshay just talked about Troy for about 5 minutes on ESPNU. He said that he had Troy as #21 ILB, but after the last two days of practice he said he has Troy sky rocketing up the draft boards. They are practicing inside today and they were zoomed in on Troy as he was talking about him. Pretty cool stuff.

That is awesome. Every clip I have seen of him shows that he doesn't just belong, but is a stud at that level.

If he gets into the top 12, he's got a good shot at being drafted on Day Two (second or third round).
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023). toMStUber
I will say I've been watching a bit of practice on and off while I uh.. work and Chad Muma is legit. He's just a more polished Troy really but I think Troy probably has a higher ceiling.

I believe Muma is around #50 overall on most boards.

Based on needs most mocks have him going early round 2.
Watching a bit of practice while at lunch. I thought Muma and Troy were the 2 LBs who stood out from the rest. But I’m definitely have my blue and gold glasses on too.
Some people are a lot like slinkies....... Not really good for much, but it puts a smile on your face to watch them fall down a set of stairs.

The glasses aren’t skewing anything for you in this case.

Muma’s verticals got to be over 40 inches. Crazy how far up he got when he blocked that MSU kick in Laramie this fall

I find some of the takes from the NFL scouts to be a little confusing. For instance I have seen Christian Watson from NDSU play in person twice, and every time I have seen him play I'm amazed at his size, speed, and overall ability. I think he is a complete stud. However, yesterday I heard one scout say he had decent hands and his speed was below average. I'm no scout, but I can't help but think that this scout hasn't watched much game film on him. Does Watson really have average hands and below average speed? Maybe i'm completely in left filed on him, and I have no clue?
Don’t confuse an NFL scout with a basement blogger that hasn’t ever seen these guys play live.

I think this is really fair, and also when you look at where Troy was the first game of the year compared to the end of the season, he’s improved a ton. Muma is really, really, good…and Troy is really close to him.
Actually it’s the other way around Muma is really close to TROY
wait till they run 40 and do the vertical jump at the combine assuming they both participate, any guesses on what TROY runs the 40 in compared to the other LB’s? SPEED, SPEED, SPEED…… which 240 pound player will be faster than TROY
