The Cats are totally out of gas, but I liked what I saw for most of that game. The last possession in regulation was ugly, but credit to UNCU for defending it well. This early schedule has been brutal, hopefully they can get a split in Sacramento on Saturday and finally get home for a bit.

How so? They had a pretty damn successful 2020-21 season including a road sweep of UNC and trip to the Big Sky title game. They're going to win a lot of games this year. Road games against top half conference opponents are tough.

How so? They had a pretty damn successful 2020-21 season including a road sweep of UNC and trip to the Big Sky title game. They're going to win a lot of games this year. Road games against top half conference opponents are tough.

You have to win road games too if you want to be the best. The 2021 tourney was great, but the regular season was really hit and miss. The Cats lost to the worst team in the league in Idaho and gave them their only win of the season.. Beat the number one team in the tourney and lost to the worst team in the league during the regular season. That’s not what great teams do.

UNC is not a top tier Big Sky team. I’m tired of hovering around 500 every year and losing games they should win.

I am 99% certain that calling a timeout does not allow the team to advance the ball to midcourt like it does in the NBA and NCAA women's basketball. Sprinkle could've called TO there but they'd have allowed UNC to set up its defense and still would've had to go the length of the court. Probably the right call to let it go and hope for a defensive lapse.

You're going to be waiting a very long time for a team in any sport that never loses games they "should win". The good news is they'll also win some that they "should lose", such as the Big Sky semifinals last year. UNC may not be a top tier Big Sky team but they've got a lot of experienced Senior talent just like MSU, and were picked to finish in the top half of the conference just like I said. MSU will not be the only good Big Sky team to lose in Greeley this year.

Never said they wouldn’t lose some road games, but they need to win these type of games if they want to be elite in the conference. I want the Cats to be the best, it’s been way too long since they have been. There is no reason we have to settle for 500 every year.
