Signing Day Part II thread
Sounds like about 8 players will send in LOI’s Wednesday. If anyone knows who’s verbally committed for Wednesday, please post here. Or even who you just think is signing.

Amandre's younger brother (can't remember his first name), the WR from Laney CC is on campus working out with the team. I assume he will also be announced with this group.

That would be a nice pickup. I wonder if he's big enough to play buck and then move Amandre to End, similar to what we did with Amandre and Sterk last year.
So to recap so far we think we have:
Manning
Williams
Ngata (?)
Reed (?)
and a high school running back.
so probably 2-3 more?

Neither Ngata, or Williams are big enough to move to those spots, imo.wbtfg wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 11:45 amThat would be a nice pickup. I wonder if he's big enough to play buck and then move Amandre to End, similar to what we did with Amandre and Sterk last year.

Ngata can pass rush, but I think he could probably play any of the LB spots at the FCS level. Amandre is a tweener between a buck and an OLB. Can't see him ever playing strong end.

Re: Signing Day Part II thread
Naw, there's gotta be more than 8.
Knowns:
Williams
Manning
Davis
Sullivan
Speculated:
Ngata
Reed
RB (Olivo or Elliott?)
I had heard there was going to be another DL or two, and another DB. But, things do change. I'd be pretty surprised if there isn't a DL brought in, HS or transfer. Pretty sure Reed is being brought in as an OL, but not positive on that.

Re: Signing Day Part II thread
Is this Ngata kid any relation to the massive defensive tackle who got drafted out of Oregon some years back?

Plus I think we got some pretty young and talented WRs as is, and I’d rather lose a WR to the Griz than get beat out in another position of need. Pretty hard selling point when going head to head with the Griz, you want to be a WR in a pass first offense or run first offense.

We didn't want him anyways....damaged goods. And yes, rilley406 has a valid point, but I do expect to see a more potent passing attack next year.
The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.

Plus, he probably doesn’t care about getting an education. Isn’t that why most kids go to play at UM?
Punters are people too!!
