Has the 8th best 200M time (22.61), 14th best 400M time (51.18), and 10th best long jump (21-04) in the state. He's also ran the 100M in about 11.3 so he's a pretty dang good athlete. However, I haven't seen him compete in any meets since April so he must have got hurt. Anyway, those marks are solid for a college football player.

Re: Montana Recruits 2020
THere were some great track performances that I am sure will adjust the rankings. Harder to do that for baseball players, but I am sure that is taken into account as well. Looking forward to a great summer of camps!

Junior is a 2021 recruit (an absolutely loaded class by the way). His brother Oran-Nash is my current #11 ranked recruit in the state for 2020.

Bozeman’s O’Reilly got an offer from UM as well recently. No surprise, he’s a good one.

As did Butte's Tommy Mellott.

I was around 2% but who's keeping track! Congrats to Carson. Has a great opportunity to be a 4 year starter once Sneed leaves.

I didn’t think we would get him, but hoping Wazzu or Wyoming would snatch him.

Cody Asbeck out of Fairview is another kid missoula has been showing quite a bit of interest in, probably as a slot.
He was scheduled to be at MSU camp but injured a hamstring at camp in missoula.
The kid has good hands, vertical in high 30's, and strong as heck. I am unsure of his cone and 40 times.
For some reason we keep missing on the eastern Montana kids.

Re: Montana Recruits 2020
2% is probably generous. Strong UM ties (that’s the case at least 75% of the time for in-state players) and until the football facility is done they have a recruiting edge for the other 25% from a purely football standpoint. MSU will always have an edge academically unless it just doesn’t offer a player’s major.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 7:44 pmI was around 2% but who's keeping track! Congrats to Carson. I don’t think he had a serious FBS shot out of state. Not that he’s not good enough, but it’s rare when a QB from a small Montana school gets a scholarship offer from a FBS school.
They lost to Billings Central in the A title game last year in Hamilton, but he had a good game. BC just had the ball all game. 34 of 48 minutes. I think they ran for around 400 yards. Rostad still had just under 200 yards and accounted for all three TDs. They got down 21-6 and with about a minute left to end up at 28-21. They averaged about 50/game and Rostad typically threw for about 240/game. I don’t think he played four quarters very often.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
