I wouldn't think he'd be able to join the Team till next year since he's transferring from UM, but if enrolls and starts classes this fall I think that would be a pretty solid conformation.
I think he would be a part of the the team in every aspect except play in games?

Point being he has to sit out a year, I don't think he can officially join the team until 2017.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "official.". He could get scholarship money. He can practice and attend meetings. The only thing he can't do is play in games . It's also a good possibility that I'm reading the rules wrong.

I'm using official as being on the roster, ergo we would know he was on the team because he would be on the roster. I think your right on the rules, I was just thinking of when we would have "official" conformation if he would be playing for the Cats. Does that make more sense? I suppose though in this day and age, with even us having a beat reporter, we would probably get conformation earlier.

It's about to be official real soon.

The man who started it all returns. Thanks Big Meowski!

Daum is a great athlete and a good fit for MSU's offense.

Just to clarify, this is Daum's redshirt freshman year and has to sit out making him eligible to play for 3 years starting 2017. Do I have that correct?

My understanding is that he has three years to play three beginning with the 2017 season. So he can play from 2017-2019. But he can start practicing with the team this season.
