A little movie trivia mixed in with my response.

Naijiel Hale just touched down in Bozeman for his visit.
NAIJIEL HALE @YoungNateDogg 38m38 minutes ago
#BOZEMAN
If any of you are familiar with rap, he is the late Nate Dogg's son. Here is his story:
Naijiel Hale - cornerback (4-star)
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/881558/high ... 4725375/v2
Former 4-star recruit who signed to Washington out of high school. He was dismissed from the team last year for undisclosed reason after playing as a true freshman, starting two games. Obviously, Choate and Alexander know the kid so they believe something is there and they can potentially work with him. He will finish out his AA degree at Santa Monica College this spring and will have three years to play two if he signs.

Hopefully he can come in and... regulate our secondary...

I think you don't get it. Sleeping in until 6 won't get many people very far in life, especially if they want to play on Sunday.

Elijah Piper, the 3-star DT, was supposed to come on a visit this weekend but pulled out and committed to Fresno State this afternoon.
So we still have a nice group coming in this week but this was the guy I was very excited about this morning. I usually stay very patient and there is still one more week left, but with the current depth we have at DT, I am surprised we haven't landed a kid yet. Other than that, I think our entire recruiting process has gone great. We are winning the "on-paper" Montana battle, we got our transfer QB for competition, and we have three RB verbals for the future. We have added pass rushers and have addressed the offensive line (we aren't done yet with either). We have some secondary recruits coming in this weekend and next weekend. If we land them, the secondary box can be checked. Commit Damien Washington is a nice 2-star player but we definitely need more than one. The only one left is that DT position. Chase Benson and Lewis Kidd are potential inside players but I hope we can land a big DT here soon.

Keep in mind that Choate is saving a few scholarships for post-spring ball, presumably for drop downs.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Heard that before

....but yeah I'm once again on board with the idea of a drop down DT.

Probably is true. I was just saying we seem to have be waiting for that "drop-down" hero the past three years and haven't gotten a solid one at DT yet. I was also saying that I'm fully on the Choate bandwagon of being able to recruit a big kid on the DL.

I know there was some questions on what position Lewis Kidd might be playing for MSU. His twitter picture actually gives it away on where MSU projects him. The coaches have been letting recruits while they are on their visits take a picture with a jersey on and the backdrop shows what position the kid will be playing. Looks like Kidd is projected as a DT!
And then you can see they plan on playing Damien Washington at corner (he was a decent receiver also).
