Second half slide

The bright side is that we don't have to worry about the annual late January/February slide in men's bball! :D

Just a joke--I think Fish is going in the right direction--it's just going to take time.

From what I saw in the UCLA game, it looks like he has them playing an up-tempo style of ball that will be a lot of fun to watch ... eventually. It was pretty obvious that, talent-wise, they just aren't where they need to be to compete with good teams right now. I'm thinking we need to give this at least 3 years before we "expect" big dividends (although it could happen faster), but I'm optimistic that the near-term woes will yield some nice results down the road. This is what needs to happen in any rebuilding program.

I agree. The #1 sign to me that he is doing this right is that he didn't come in and sign 2 classes worth of JC guys. He has stuck almost exclusively to high school kids. That's how you build/re-build a program. He can always fill in some weak spots with JC guys later.

Good ones at that. Stephan Holm, Marcus Colbert and Danny Robison will play next year. The rest of the Bobcat rotation will be Fish guys already. Zach Green will push to be a four-year starter and Quinn Price will be starting by the time conference play rolls around. Tyler Hall will start next season and Mandrell Worthy will push Colbert. Sam Neumann will challenge to take minutes from Robison.

I would much rather he have Coach Cali ship us the McDonald's All Americans he can't give scholarships to and we could play Kentucky every year that way...I mean, most of Coach C's kids will only play a year anyway...

I was really a little impressed early in the UCLA game. They looked good for what they were up against. This will be an interesting season. There is some talent there,
