bozeman kegs?

Post by whitetrashgriz » Sat Oct 16, 2010 9:29 am

just got a kegerator for the garage and I was hoping to have beer a flowin' before kickoff today! usually i go to joes when i need a keg but that is only for parties or something because they have a 14 day time limit on their kegs. anyone know of a place in town where i can buy a keg and keep it until the beer is gone even if that means months? i was told i can't buy directly from the distibutors so i'm a little lost. :suds:

do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?

Cat's Paw, Haufbrau... most any bar that sells packaged liquor. Of course trying to get one today might be tough but if you aren't going for exotics you might find success. You pay a deposit on the keg so if you keep it forever they don't care. Plus since you don't need a tap there is less of an issue.

Did you check with Joes to see if you can put a bigger deposit down and keep it longer?

When I lived in Billings, I would go down to Yellowstone Valley Brewing and fill up a keg ever month or so. I'm sure a local brewer would do the same, assuming there are locally brewed suds you like.
