i was thinking that the other day too, and how he and huse are in completely different boats. for whatever reason huse has brought in some pretty borderline players in my opinion, yet he has managed to finish right in the mix, and made a good playoff run. tinks on the other hand seems to be a great recruiter, has brought in some pretty great players, yet has also finished right in the mix with nothing great in the postseason. man, if tinkle got fired and joined huses staff the cats might be able to put together a good team. as it is i think we're just recruiting kids from montana that aren't good enough to play at msu, and some other rather questionable players. god i hope he proves me wrong on this.longhorn_22 wrote:I honestly don't know how much longer Tinkle should be there. He is a great recruiter but a lackluster coach. I am amazed at the amount of talent he pulls in, but can't seem to get the full potential out of them.

maybe not this year. i was just talking hypothetical. if you could combine the skills of the two, you'd have a great coach.GrizinWashington wrote:Tinks isn't going anywhere.

Understood, WTG. I know you weren't suggesting that he was about to be run out of town on the rails!whitetrashgriz wrote:maybe not this year. i was just talking hypothetical. if you could combine the skills of the two, you'd have a great coach.GrizinWashington wrote:Tinks isn't going anywhere.
