My Wife's Cousin got to run the torch on Sunday for about 300 yards. They said on the news that for him that is his average golf drive. Looking forward to the Colbert speed skating team.

Totally forgot about the torch. I was able to watch it through Billings during the SLC Olympics, which was pretty cool.

I'll be watching hockey and curling like Longhorn22. I also enjoy short track and a lot of the skiing events, even though the Americans suck at most stuff that isn't freestyle of some sort.

I'll watch skating if Chazz Michael Michaels is competing.

I really want to be excited for them, but I'm really not there quite yet. Once they are on TV every night, I'm sure I will be watching a lot, though. A guy can only watch Mythbusters re-runs so many times....

I found the last couple winter Olympics I really enjoyed watching curling. I tried watching it once a year or two ago, but it's just not the same. Sometimes it seems a sport is only good during the Olympics.

I'll be watching the frestyle moguls event since there is a kid from Butte competing. Not often we have a Montana kid make the Olympics.

There are actually 2 kids from Montana in the freestyle moguls. The kid from Butte and Heather McPhee from Bozeman is competing in the Women's Freestyle Moguls.

Yeah, I was channel surfing the other day and saw the Butte kid doing moguls in Aspen or Vail. He blew it and had a bad run, but the announcers said it wouldn't impact his place on the team or his standings.

Anybody else know of other locals competing?

Alpine & freestyle skiing events, ski jumping, bobsled/luge, speed skating. I'll watch as much as possible because I really like the winter olympics, but those are my priorities. Let the Games begin..........

Chester finds olympic hockey to be the greatest sports tourney in the world. this go round should be epic and Chester Spartandamus predicts a rematch of the classic "summit series of '72" between Russia and Canada. (the swedes are too injured / dinged up to repeat, the US could medal if miller (Mich State grad \:D/ ) continues to stand on his ear in net, finland could be around but just dont have the horses and the czechs/slovakia should have never split in two).

Chester also enjoys the Biathlon (heavy breathing sweating athletic euro chicks shooting guns). :D

Games are off to a rough start. A luger from the Soviet Republic of Georgia died during a training run today.
