Q: Does anyone think that the future of Griz football and basketball looks brighter than the future of BOBCAT football and basketball?UMclassof2002 wrote:Q: Can anyone even remember the last time Ms. U beat The Flagship in a sport that matters?
A: Not many... save the few dilusional Griz fans here and there...

I would say the Big Sky doesn't have a "flagship" basketball program....meaning for men's basketballSACCAT wrote:Are your saying that the griz are the Flagship in Basketball? A: Yes, we beat Weber St. in basketball last month, and Colorado in football to kick off the 2006 seasonUMclassof2002 wrote:Q: Can anyone even remember the last time Ms. U beat The Flagship in a sport that matters?

Oh, now now... Next year the Girlz football team is set to dominate with (cough, cough) the mighty armed Bergquist at QB throwing to the only invisible gamebreaker on Earth, Craig Chambers. And Lex is going to come back bigger, stronger and faster than ever thanks to him being able to train and rest all year. Achilles what? I bet they will be counting his '07 production in miles, not yards.catatac wrote:Q: Does anyone think that the future of Griz football and basketball looks brighter than the future of BOBCAT football and basketball?UMclassof2002 wrote:Q: Can anyone even remember the last time Ms. U beat The Flagship in a sport that matters?

Then, keep in mind that after they win the NC and Hauck bolts to replace Lloyd Carr at Michigan they will bring in Mike Singletary as the new HC and fill all 25 of their schollies with 8 and 9 star talent (I have this on good account from one of the top Girlz insiders, ronbo).
As far as BBall goes, I think that as long as Chavez has lifetime eligibility, the flow of roids is plentiful, and the Girlz can continue to put 3 or 4 of the leagues dirtiest (not to mention ugliest, damn!) players on the court, they can simply win as many games as they choose to... and in 15 years Wayne "Clooney" Tinkle's hair will be white but his eyebrows will still be dark as the night.
Things are fine in Mazzola, they aren't worried a bit over there. Haven't you seen their stadium?
The only thing I can see stopping the mighty Girlz are mud puddles and meanie 'Cat fans that say bad words.
(Sensitive and emotional Girlz fans, please remember that this is the smack board and I'm just having a little fun here. This is to be treated as a parody and not as an actual assesment or alligations toward any of the Griz athletic programs or athletes. Get over yer frackin' selves.)

I think you are well within your rights to smack away on that...and I actually think you have a point. I think you might be right that one of these years the Cats will beat the Griz in football, or men's or women's basketball. Possibly well within the next five years.GavinDonos wrote: (Sensitive and emotional Girlz fans, please remember that this is the smack board and I'm just having a little fun here. "Nearly Everytime..." I get a kick out of that.GrizinWashington wrote:Well, you know there's been some Griz domination lately, because cat fans are reverting to hair-trigger, defensive attitudes and posts. Just like they acted during The Streak.
Must suck to lose nearly everytime, though.

3 out of 5 my friend.

It seems that we know not alot about the reltaionship between griz fans on this board and the griz program. Just curious if you all went to the U or jumped on the band wagon during the 16 strait?GrizinWashington wrote:Well, you know there's been some Griz domination lately, because cat fans are reverting to hair-trigger, defensive attitudes and posts. And what is the record if you look at any other time frame than the last five years?catatac wrote: "Nearly Everytime..." I get a kick out of that.![]()

Hint: It is even if you look at 2, 4 or 6 years back....the rest of them you won't like.

Easy to tell that the jizz have won a few games in a row, because jizz fans are reverting to their typical arrogant, condescending, whiny, and offensive attitudes and posts. Not that they ever stopped acting like that...GrizinWashington wrote:Well, you know there's been some Griz domination lately, because cat fans are reverting to hair-trigger, defensive attitudes and posts. Must suck to know that both our football and basketball programs are going to pass you up in the very near future, though. While we Bobcat fans can remain optimistic that things are on the way up in all our programs, griz fans will be reduced to reminiscing about the "good ol' days" in the next few years with the Two Stooges coaching your teams.
