This may be the best thread ever to highlight the fact that Montana's program is without question tops in the country. When a team goes undefeated in conference play, wins 12 straight, beats 6 teams in the top 25 and finally loses in the national semifinals by 2 points, and fans of their biggest rivals call the team and their quarterback a bust?? I cannot IMAGINE higher praise.

Fair enough. But he raises and interesting argument. If the Cats have to call the Griz "a bust" for the reasons GrizinWashington cited...well....

Well, the way Griz fans were talking over on eJizz last week, this season was a bust. "Swogger was terrible", "I want my money back", etc., etc.

Of course the usual suspects said what they'd been saying all year. But a 12-2 record with a 2-point loss in the semis isn't enough evidence to call the season a bust. They were just looking for some justification for what they'd been predicting all year and that was the best they could come up with. Pretty lame if you ask me.

Most Griz fans over there have been dealing with their ilk all year. If we would've won the NC by 3 points instead of 25 they would have been unsatisfied. Reminds me of my girlfriend.

Despite my natural inclination to back my fellow Griz fans, I just wanted to point out how asinine it is to come to an internet smack board (for the in-state rival, no less) and whine about posters posting smack. IT'S A SMACK BOARD, CLOWNSHOES. Get with the program.

I'm totally up on PapaG's first post here, and I'll give him a big ol' Griz fan stamp on the Swogger prognistication. Caveat: having me punch that ticket has limited value (if it's possible for something that I create to actually have LESS value than it already does by virtue of its having been created by me), since I basically said pretty much the same thing before the season.

Oh, I have no doubt. I'll keep my eye on the Bozeman police blotter to see how all that prowling shakes out.
