What you meant to say was "Idaho chose Erickson over Kramer."

Your statements that Idaho "did not want" Kramer are not based on fact.

You are correct. I guess its like having a choice between really great sex and sex.

Idaho wanted both but preferred some really great sex.

airgriz,

If you look at a 4-8 record as "really great sex", you need to get out more!

BAC already corrected you; you have NO basis for claiming Idaho "didn't want" Kramer. They CHOSE Erickson; who wouldn't, given the 2 coaches resumes?

Your comment, however, makes it sound like if they hadn't hired Dennis, they would have rejected Kramer, which you have no proof of.

If Erickson moves on, I would guess that Kramer will immediately be on UI's "short list".

I agree. My point was that Idaho had some choices and rejected Kramer as the preferred choice.

I also agree that Kramer will be on Idaho's short list and (I predict) he will be the successful candidate this time around if Erickson moves on to another institution.

Let that be a lesson to you. What you think is going to be "really great sex" may actually turn out to be a disappointing experience.

For me, 8-3 or 9-2 is just average sex. Anything less than that is bad sex. Now, 12-1 is approaching some extraordinary stuff that I really can't discuss in public on this Board.

I hate to rag on a Cat Alum but, what the heck does Erickson want? He has 1 or 2 more years on his 49'ers contract at about 3 mil per year. He is in a position where he can conduct on of the biggest turn-arounds in ncaa history.

If he gets the Arizona State job how many recruits are going to seriously think he will stay there long enough to make it to their senior season. He will be free to go back to the NFL or a bigger better ncaa job.

This guy is looking like the Larry Brown of football.

Yeah, I used to agree. The main reason he took the OSU job when their AD called and asked him about the credentials of one of his former assistants after the Seahawk screwup and he replied "Hey. What about me. I'm not doing anything right now and I've got a few bucks from the buyout." was he had that thought in his mind that he was simply handed the two national championships by Janckovich in Miami before Sam took off for the Palouse again. He needed to prove himself and I think he did in Corvallis. He was screwed in San Francisco from the get go, but came out okay. What's the incentive to stay in Moscow and try to build that program up in the WAC? At least in Tempe, he'll be able to get those half dozen kids that will take them up over the top again. It's a better situation than he stepped into in Corvallis, in my opinion.

Any decent coach will jump at a chance to step into a team with a chance of playing for the national title. Let him prove himself again and I'd like to see somebody take a chance on him in the NFL. Heck, I worked with high school coaches in Georgia who moved more than him. They were always motivated by that state championship at the next level and how many kids they'd put in major programs.

Well, evidently you don't understand what it means when it takes you all night to do what you used to do all night. Imagine these older folks--and you'll get there if you live long enough--talking:lol:
An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years.
He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%.
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, "Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again."
The gentleman replied, "Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!"
<><><><><><><>
Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: "Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?"
Slim says, "I feel just like a newborn baby."
"Really!? Like a newborn baby!?"
"Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.
<><><><><><><>
An elderly couple had dinner at another couple's house, and after eating, the wives left the table and went into the kitchen. The two gentlemen were talking, and one said, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant and it was really great. I would recommend it very highly.
The other man said, "What is the name of the restaurant?"
The first man thought and thought and finally said, "What is the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know... the one that's red and has thorns."
"Do you mean a rose?"
"Yes, that's the one," replied the man. He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, "Rose , what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?
<><><><><><><>
Hospital regulations require a wheelchair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman – already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet – who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator. On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.
"I don't know," he said. "She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown."
<><><><><><><>
A couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tell s them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember. Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. "Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?" he asks.
"Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"
"Sure."
"Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks.
"No, I can remember it."
"Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to forget it?"
He says, "I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries."
"I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?" she asks.
Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!" Then he toddles into the kitchen.
After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.
She stares at the plate for a moment. "Where's my toast?"
<><><><><><><>
Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, "Windy, isn't it?"
Second one says, "No, it's Thursday!"
Third one says, "So am I. Let's go get a beer."
<><><><><><><>
A man was telling his neighbor, "I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but it's state of the art. It's perfect."
"Really," answered the neighbor. "What kind is it?"
"Twelve thirty."
<><><><><><><>
A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, "Crushed nuts?"
"No," he replied, "Arthritis!"

Probably his way of making a crack at us, telling us that NOBODY wants Kramer, not even Idaho.
My memory might be foggy after all the quarterfinal drinking, but I'm pretty sure the vaunted UM offered Kramer a gig at one point as well
No, don't point out how the dUMb folks continually contacted him after he accepted our initial offer [-X Anyway, I've been very happy with what he's done here and if he gets the opportunity to not only go home but more than double his salary, I want the best for his loyalty and forthright manner in which he conducts himself.
No, this didn't happen. Post any evidence you have of this happening, links or clips. Didn't happen. You will say that it is common knowledge from those within the MSU Athletic Department...of course it is, of course they would say that. UM did not offer Kramer a job. That is bobcat propaganda unless you can prove otherwise.

So unless somebody has a tape recording of the cell phone calls that took place between Kramer and UM ... it didn't happen?

Imagine MSU trying to hire a new coach right now. This is going to make some of your eyes roll, but MSU woul likley have to offer at least $150 k to get a coach to be able to live in Bozeman. And to be honest, if UM had to replace Bobby, they might offer something in a similar range.

So why can't we pay that to these guys right now? That makes sense, pay the newbie more, but don't reward the proven coaches.

I've always thought that too. Why do you pay the new unproven coach as much or more than the guy before? Obviously it has to do with attracting good candidates but still.

Having sex with a 60 year old, 400 pound, quadriplegic amputee. Not that I'd know, but that would be my definition of bad sex.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.
