As a father I am constantly reminding my child to just “Try” before asking for help. I understand technology is scary but I think if you just give it a shot before shooting it down you’d be amazed at how easy it is to download these tickets to your phone, print at home, or give the tickets to your fellow Bobcat Fans. Watch the video the ticket office sent you when they sent the emails with the tickets. It couldn’t be more simplified.

Just try the new way. You may learn something.
Some of us have “tried” the new way…I used at Wyoming for example. Worked fine.

Guess I just do not walk around “tethered” to my cell phone. And I wouldn’t normally carry it into a game. Probably had half dozen calls and texts asking for updates on game in Wyoming….I’m trying to watch a game without being on phone all the time (missed the whole damn punt return saga answering my brother). And yes I know there is an off switch!!!

Life goes on just fine without the electronic connection 24/7…. But perhaps I will have to change that attitude in time too.

I don't remember being asked if I wanted to be able to print or not but I have downloaded the tickets and parking passes to both my phone and my wife's phone and also went ahead and printed for the drake game. If all goes well enough at that first game I may not print anymore. I couldn't help but think there must be a way to not need a whole sheet of paper per ticket but didn't look into it much. I understand this tech system saves on printing and mailing but I have doubts that the scanning at the entrance gates will be any better.

I have a few people in my family that fly often. One guy always uses his phone for his boarding pass and another always prints because he's seen too many bad experiences where the phone pass didn't work right and became a hassle.
Warning: I don’t have tickets as we’ve moved away. I am (sort of) old. But I got old during 40 years in IT, so permit me to float an idea out to you all.

Several have mentioned needing a full sheet of paper for a single ticket. I’ve also read that you have received PDF files. Are there multiple pages in each PDF?

If so, there are a number of printing apps that will print pages as “2-up” or “4-up” or “8-up”. This means print 2 or 4 or 8 PDF pages on a single sheet of paper. If you are using a desktop or laptop check your print settings for this option. If you are using a tablet or phone (I am) then find an a app in the store that will do this. It could make your day! 😸
I have printed on the 2-up. Print is a little small but was going to see if it scans the bar code OK this game. I have my full size sheet as backup if the smaller size doesn’t work. I only killed one extra tree this time but maybe save a bunch next time!
Thanks for the suggestion on how to use less paper when printing. I looked for what you suggested but came up with nothing but I'm fine for now and will ask my younger generation when I see them this weekend. I donate blood as often as allowed and a person can fill out the health questionnaire on your phone or PC and then you have a QR code that can be scanned from your phone which saves time at the blood draw. My screen protector is virtually always too scratched up for the scan to work so I always print my QR to be scanned. That's why I made sure that the tickets are on my wife's phone in addition to mine and have paper this time too. I always have my phone on me but it would have to be a real emergency for me to give it any real attention during action in a Bobcat game.

If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

@Joe Bobcat In case you have an iPhone or iPad, here is a link to the app that I use to print multiple document pages on a single sheet. It’s handy for printing Smith’s grocery lists to keep in the kitchen. 4-up saves a lot of trees. 🌲🌲

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/printer-p ... d393313223

For you fellow “old guys” who are printing tickets make sure your printer controls are set to the highest resolution possible and use a good quality harder-finished paper. I use a light card stock that I got at Walmart for things like car registrations (you only have to carry a copy in NV) and the print quality on that paper is significantly sharper than on correspondence paper. The sharper the better for the QR code. Best of luck, fellow Bobcats. I love where I live, but I do miss live football.

Go, ‘Cats! 💙 💛 😺

The Google wallet was the challenge for me. Probably 2 years ago I had never done texting. Eventually I get it figured out. It's great to be a geezer, everyday is Saturday which makes figuring out which one is game day even more challenging. I have decided to blame Bethany for all this trouble, partly because I never got my participation trophies when I was young.

Thanks Cataholic. I will take even more time out of my day to call them to resolve as they don’t respond to email.

Assume much?

Thanks boss.

Addendum I see Bethany respond to some on here, so I thought I would try.
I can’t sit on hold all day with the BTO. Maybe you rich retired guys can, but I really can’t.
Cuts into golf time, ya know.
Given your opening remark, “it would be nice if I had my ticket more than 48 hours prior to the event”, the only thing that I assumed was that your are a cantankerous douche. Especially given all the additional information on this thread and all that MSU has provided on how to access the tickets. Your follow up comment that you shouldn’t be bothered to call the ticket office because it will take time from the gold course pretty much cemented the fact that you are douche.

Before you delve into the “what? Me? But it was there mistake?” deluge of excuses, here is a way you might have avoided being such a d1ck.:

“Hello Brittany. Sorry to bother you but I am having a hard time accessing my tickets. Here is my account number and pertinent information. With game being so close, can you help me out today. I would have called the ticket office, but I am too busy golfing and being such a self important @sshole. I never gave any thought to reaching out a month ago when nothing showed up, so I decided to start being a d1ck today.”

These people people at MSU work hard. There is no need to be condescending or rude to them. Glad you got your tickets, but I don’t feel much better for the people sitting in the seats next to you.
You can’t seriously think the golf course bit was anything but a joke, can you? Lol

Put them into Apple wallet then take screenshots and send them to anybody that's not entering with you. Delete those ones from Apple wallet. Easy peasy.

I have heard at other events that take mobile tickets the option to scan a ticket that was screen shot doesn't work. Do we know for sure that this option will work here? If so, yes, that is a super easy way to transfer a ticket

I was taught early in life that we should never stop trying to learn new skills. Heck, I remember my grandmother taking small engine repair and computer classes when she was in her mid-80s. I loved getting my tickets in the mail but I'm always up for new ways of doing things. I printed my tickets but I also saved them on my phone as a back-up. If everything fails, there is always the ticket booth at the stadium.

I watched the video that MSU put out on how to download the tickets. It's not nearly as simple as the video makes it sound.....but by doing my own research I was able to figure out how to get it into my Google Pay by going back to my ticket account (has to be on your phone....you can't do it from your computer) and then downloading it. In your account (again access it from your phone) there is an option to download it into your Google Pay. It took me a while because I had to download each ticket and parking pass separately and we have 6 season tickets and 2 parking passes. They are now in my Google Pay account on my phone.
But I printed each one off as a Plan B in case I did something wrong. I'd hate to be turned away at the gate.

I'm sure as time marches on, the system will get easier and I will also get more efficient at it - but I did find it a bit cumbersome for my first time.

Mine was easier than that. I got the app on my phone. Then went to the email and downloaded each game, one ticket to my phone, one to my wife's. It was harder finding them on the phone. Then I called up the ticket for the game and took a screenshot to sell them.

If we got the mobile tickets, at the bottom it shows DOWNLOAD PDF. If we do that and print them, it has the QR code. That will work, correct?

Thanks!!!
Yes it will! That isn't the recommended way to do it but your code will certainly still scan.

Just to clarify, as long as I have a screen shot of the bar code from my ticket, that will scan and get me in the game? I can then send everyone in my group screen shots of their tickets?

Some of the systems have rolling codes that refresh every so often so that it makes them harder to steal or have someone get a copy and get in/use it before you can. Ticketmaster does this and saw it on the Suns game I went to last spring and they made note of it for my Raiders tix also.

That said, I’m pretty certain MSU and ticketswest are not using this system and they are unchanging codes for each seat/parking pass. Main reason I am fairly certain of that is the fact that when you go to the link as noted by others they give an option to download as pdf and print. They can’t be rolling codes if you can print them.

Google pay. I never did anything on the app, other than open it. All I did was click on the individual games dates. That showed me my tickets and I picked one seat where it said gay save to phone. It was difficult to find the tickets in gay the next day when I reopened the app. at the bottom of that screen it did have the PDF option, but for me the gay thing was on each ticket.
