Hyped up Griz run defense coming into Bobcat Stadium. What could go wrong for them...

Can someone walk me through exactly what Kyon Loud's return does to make their defense so much better? What does it mean for the game on Saturday? @BobcatBuiltTexan, I always appreciate your analysis but any comments are welcome.

Herder (who is usually good) is just getting a hard on for a team that he can't cover without bias. USD ran for 3.9/carry against them. SDSU, which wasn't a great run team, ran for something like 3. Pandas didn't suck, thats true. But Herder is acting like they're the second coming of the Steel Curtain or Purple People Eaters or Orange Crush.

It was only a month ago that Julius torched these guys for 7.1 per carry.

Herder does seem to have a soft spot for the gris, doesn't he?

Alot of these media guys do, which is so crazy. All they do is spout off about the record, but refuse to consider the last 10 years, and especially Bobby 2.0. Yes, they went to the NC in 2023, and lost by alot. Now they were undefeated, until Cat-Griz, but they're so entitled that they all think that was a fluke. They pulled wins out of their butts, but mostly they didn't really win, the other teams lost those games by mistakes, bad play calling, etc. I really hope we hang 40 on them and shut them up.

Dave Arnold is 81 years old. LOL. The Griz have been to more National Championships after 2001 than the Cats have.

You have to read the post I responded to in order to grasp the point. The post implied that a 2001 championship is very old (which is true). My point is, a 1984 championship is even older. Not to mention that the Griz have been to more championship games than the Cats since then (our most recent the ‘24 game and yours the ‘25 game).

No your argument was Griz have been more dominant and other posters told you to quit living in the past. Your response was Cats championship wa 1984. Cat fans talk about the 3 championships, but don't talk about be a top team because of that 84 win. It is because of the last 10 years.

I am fascinated to see how the Griz do in the hostile environment. They’ve spent so much time at home this season and the toughest road trip they’ve had is Sac State. That in itself doesn’t guarantee that they’ll fold, but it’s an unknown.

Au contraire mon frere. It matters a lot. The quality of talent, total team accomplishment, COACHING, recent playoff experience, and game day atmosphere that has been cultivated in the last 20 years means EVERYTHING. This is the exact type of game environment the gris haven’t seen in over a year, and it will absolutely affect them.

Don’t care that this is the “best team the gris have had in a decade.” Already beat them once this year, in wa-gris.

I’m curious about this as well. They’re certainly gonna be juiced up and pissed off at kickoff. Nearly 1/3 of their roster wasn’t in Bozeman for the game last year to experience it. We’ll see if they can use the hate and extra juice to their benefit, or if it hurts them like we hope.

No, I think we’ve already pretty well established that the Cats are a lot better than the Pandas. Even if the Pandas pull off the big upset this weekend.

So now even beating a team doesn’t establish that the winner is better? Then how is it established that the Cats are better? The ranking? I heard from you guys all year that the ranking doesn’t matter and the only way to establish who’s better is on the field. This is getting pretty squishy.
