Holy s@#& that might be the dumbest gris
twitter post I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of their 'big brain" posts. Knocking MSU for helping the um band??????? Brint (is that short for something. Nobody has that first name. I knew a guy in missoula with the first name brintley?) Same guy?? Anyways that Twitter post from (brintley?) Says a lot. Symbolic. Gris fans like brintley have low IQ and more importantly low standards when comes to integrity or morality. Hey how about a thanks to MT ST for helping the gris band?? A straight thanks. Not one buried in ten layers of bull @&>/
I'm pretty dumb but not the dumbest. The long form of FTC was just in fun but then as wbtfg and others pointed out, MSU was super generous to help our band get to Frisco which is cool.

Safe to assume the cat fans clutching their pearls here never ever say "FTG" or wear hats/shirts/hoodies or post it online then?
Also safe to say um is NOT likely to ever help the MSU band as MSU has done for the um band (x2). Especially with hack as head coach. If they ever did I would say thank you UM. I wouldn't bury it stupid passive aggressive BS like "clutching pearls" or be worried about what hoodies people are wearing. I would just say thank you and be happy that UM would return the damn favor. It is a favor from MSU.
Didn’t UM lend bench heaters to the cats during your home playoff run just very recently? I’ll have to look for your thank you on that. Griz raised 200k to send the band and MSU contributed 3k toward that (1.5%). People here are acting like MSU is the only reason the Griz band is going to Frisco 😆
You kidding?? The heated benches were given to our opponent, William & Mary. It was kind of a thing and was discussed in detail here many times.
It’s a long tradition. In 1984, the gris lent turf shoes to Arkansas State in the playoffs.
Myths such as these just add to the mystique of a program that has averaged 1 National Championship game appearance every 3 seasons over nearly 3 decades.
Myth? Sorry, bud. Absolutely happened. Thirty-nine years ago, but it happened.

This little gem took some creativity, and is a huge stretch trying to make a program look like a juggernaut when they have exactly TWO national championships in the history of the program and the last one was twenty three years ago. hahaha

"a program that has averaged 1 National Championship game appearance every 3 seasons over nearly 3 decades."

Do the math and let us know how it turns out. Eight National Championship game appearances over 28 seasons (1995-2023). You can knock the number of National Championship crowns (2) achieved in those eight contests if you want, but how many teams in the nation have as many or more over that time span?

This is exactly what I hope the Gris get their asses handed to them in Frisco. Turd fans like this guy are insufferable. This is the first sniff of a national Championship game in 13 years and this guys is acting like they have been dominant and are comparable to Alabama. Insufferable fan base.

Not at all. You are exaggerating. All I said was the Griz have averaged nearly one championship game appearance every three seasons over the past three decades. It’s just math. Don’t get all butt hurt.

Credit where credit is due, but the gris are getting to these national championship games in large part due to their stadium and home-field advantage. This year you'd have lost to Furman anywhere besides Missoula. Not discounting that--it's why you play for a high seed. But get the gris on a neutral field and they've never been the juggernaut you guys think they are.

How any real Bobcat fan can root for the Gris with Bobby Hauch coaching to win anything baffles me. I don’t mind the pitching in to help the band since Haskell/Hauck are truly miserable people who hate their own student body, but the entire heated bench nonsense by those two doofuses was just so petty.

https://tribeathletics.com/news/2022/12 ... inals.aspx

The University of Montana loaned W&M its heated benches, but that did nothing for the playing surface.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

Just thinking about it, using the past three seasons, the Cats have averaged 1 national championship appearance every 3 years. This is fun! Over the past 4 seasons, we have made the semi-final game EVERYTIME except for once. This UM math exercise is fun stuff! Did they teach you this in senior level calculus?
