This little gem took some creativity, and is a huge stretch trying to make a program look like a juggernaut when they have exactly TWO national championships in the history of the program and the last one was twenty three years ago. hahaha

Do the math and let us know how it turns out. Eight National Championship game appearances over 28 seasons (1995-2023). You can knock the number of National Championship crowns (2) achieved in those eight contests if you want, but how many teams in the nation have as many or more over that time span?catatac wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 9:16 pmThis little gem took some creativity, and is a huge stretch trying to make a program look like a juggernaut when they have exactly TWO national championships in the history of the program and the last one was twenty three years ago. hahaha

Credit where credit is due, but the gris are getting to these national championship games in large part due to their stadium and home-field advantage. This year you'd have lost to Furman anywhere besides Missoula. Not discounting that--it's why you play for a high seed. But get the gris on a neutral field and they've never been the juggernaut you guys think they are.Griznationalist wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 9:45 pmDo the math and let us know how it turns out. How any real Bobcat fan can root for the Gris with Bobby Hauch coaching to win anything baffles me. I don’t mind the pitching in to help the band since Haskell/Hauck are truly miserable people who hate their own student body, but the entire heated bench nonsense by those two doofuses was just so petty.

The University of Montana loaned W&M its heated benches, but that did nothing for the playing surface.

Just thinking about it, using the past three seasons, the Cats have averaged 1 national championship appearance every 3 years. This is fun! Over the past 4 seasons, we have made the semi-final game EVERYTIME except for once. This UM math exercise is fun stuff!
