It seems like the OPOY and DOPY should be unanimous votes. Gillman and Dowler are both exceptional players and they would top the charts for my first team ballot
I want to know how much of papa Washington’s money got Gilman freshman of the year and now OPOY. Over rated on both, bigger stats for other players, better results for other players etc. such a joke (I will say he is top three in both categories and both years just don’t see how he is number one)

Whoever called the meltdown on BCN over all-conference selections nailed it
Disagreeing /=/ meltdown

Just a reminder that POY and MVP aren’t the same thing. Lamson is the BSC MVP in a landslide. He did more for MSU than any other player in the league.

I think the BSC (every conference) should add an MVP award that goes to just one player. There should also be an annual award for best OL.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I don't take issue with Gilman winning. He is good. The griz are going to have a hard time keeping him. But then his brother(who's so good he would start over MSU player, just ask 1890....) still will be at um. And their family seems to really love the college.

Having watched some people play, I think its crazy that there are fans and media that thought Brooks Davis would win over Pinnick for freshman of the year. I think Michael Shulikov should've been 1st team with Gbatu. Those two are the best opponent's wide receivers I've watched this year.

Gillman is defensible. Hes not a clear OPY by any stretch, but hes clearly on the short list & 'reasonable people can disagree'.

Monte would not start on either team, at least not this year. I said he was very athletic and one of the best athletes on either team, that does not translate to instant football success or a starting job. I think Gillman finishes out his career at Montana. I agree with Shulikov, I thought he was going to 1st team for sure. He was one of the best receivers I had seen the Griz go against this year.
