I'm still stung by last Saturday I don't care if it was Oregon. I was impressed at how FCS North Dakota competed against 17 ranked Kansas State, losing 38-35. Is the gap between say #17 Kansas State and #7 Oregon THAT huge? I don't know, maybe so.

For what it’s worth, Kansas State dropped out of the top 25 and only received 7 votes in the AP poll. So maybe the gap between #7 and #17 isn’t as big as it seemed—perhaps the preseason rankings were just a bit off.

It also should be mentioned that University of South Dakota got hammered by #22 (now #16) Iowa State 55-7.

Anything I am finding for betting lines is all from 2024 when the Bobcats play SDSU in basketball and the game was in Brookings. That would help make sense why the Cats are listed as a 9-12pt underdog.

One of the other mods basically created the whole r/FCS Sportsbook in Google Sheets because most sportsbooks don't post FCS lines until the morning of. That being said, the model is slightly off this year due to him being busy and starting it up later than usual. He's trying to make it accurate, but it'll be a few weeks until the kinks are ironed out. I'd take Cats +9 with a grain of salt right now. We're trying our best out here lol

No complaints here. I wouldn't want to spend the time putting that together. I'm just trying to inform what that number is to people who don't understand exactly what it is. It's not an actual line. Its the line a model spit out with imperfect data.

You guys are funny. No, I posted this to show three things:
1) MSU is vastly better at home. One loss was a 5-6 team. The other was just random.
2) MSU has improved considerably away from home. Note the gradual change in the scores.

The major sportsbooks do not post FCS lines until the morning of the game in question. This has been the case for years and I don't expect it to change anytime soon
