New Ticketing System
This is going to cause a lot of problems. Yes the process is simple enough unless you have more than 2 tickets. I have 4. I know people who have 8 together. IN my case 2 of us always enter together and the other 2 always come later. NO problem if you transfer first and download second. The problem is many people will download their tickets then go back and transfer. If you do that all your tickets still show up in your wallet on your phone. So if (in my case) they scan 2 and I accidently transferred the same 2 my friends will not get in. This will happen hundreds of times and people are going to get very upset. Game about to start and you can't get in. I get why they did it this way. The Wyoming tickets were the same way. But all the potential problems were not thought through.

I just printed all of my tickets on paper. I know, not with the times but old school is sometimes better.gtapp wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 11:53 amThis is going to cause a lot of problems. Re: New Ticketing System
I agree Gary. If you want to use the tickets from your phone, it seems everyone in your group has to enter at the same time unless you print the tickets. Is there any other way to separate them that you have found?

If you transfer first they disappear from your account (I think). Then when you download to your phone you only can download the remaining ones.

Re: New Ticketing System
I think after this season it would be awesome to have the option of paper tickets again, even if it comes with a fee to do so. We have 18 season tickets through the business and give many away every week. That is difficult to navigate. Mobile tickets are awesome if you just have a couple or even like 4 with your family being the main visitors. But when you have almost 20 of them that you distribute every game it is far from ideal.
I will probably print the majority of them before each game but I would LOVE the option to pay more for tickets for the convenience I would get when doling them out.

There’s a lot of older people that attend games. The chances of this working well for them is pretty close to zero. And guess what? Lots of those older people are the ones who can afford to give money to the school/athletic program. Make things easy for them.

Re: New Ticketing System
It was easy. We had a choice when renewing to get either electronic or print version tickets. I just selected print version and then printed them from the pdf files sent to me.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 1:37 pmThere’s a lot of older people that attend games. Yeah I was asked which option I wanted as well, and did print.HelenaCat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 2:33 pmIt was easy. We had a choice when renewing to get either electronic or print version tickets. Print version here, too. While my phone is quite reliable, it sometimes will act up for no reason at all. I don't want that happening on the way into a game - and knowing my luck it would!!!
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

Re: New Ticketing System
Ya I can print as well. Which I’ll have to do with most. But 18 tickets on 8x11 paper and 2 parking passes I’ll need a whole folder to keep them sorted and give out. It’s not a deal breaker because I’m not an idiot, but in my situation I’d be happy to pay whatever more they’d charge just to get my tickets the old way. Just more convenient is all but not a huge deal.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 4:41 pmYeah I was asked which option I wanted as well, and did print.HelenaCat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 2:33 pmIt was easy. You can take a screen shot of the tickets on your phone and then text them to the other person. We did this last night at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Missoula.

I just like the old way better. Send me my tickets, keep it simple.HelenaCat wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 2:33 pmIt was easy. Yeah that is a pain. It's too bad you can't print like 2 or 3 tickets on the same paper and separate them or something. My other issue is I liked to collect the old school tickets.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 5:54 pmYa I can print as well. Which I’ll have to do with most. Re: New Ticketing System
I don't remember being asked if I wanted to be able to print or not but I have downloaded the tickets and parking passes to both my phone and my wife's phone and also went ahead and printed for the drake game. If all goes well enough at that first game I may not print anymore. I couldn't help but think there must be a way to not need a whole sheet of paper per ticket but didn't look into it much. I understand this tech system saves on printing and mailing but I have doubts that the scanning at the entrance gates will be any better.
I have a few people in my family that fly often. One guy always uses his phone for his boarding pass and another always prints because he's seen too many bad experiences where the phone pass didn't work right and became a hassle.

If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

Re: New Ticketing System
Hi everyone!
Thanks for sharing your feedback... this is always good for us to collect.
We do have a tutorial video, which includes instructions on how to transfer, and you can find that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0nCOtIcMr4&t=7s
If you chose mobile ticketing at checkout and need to go back to 'print at home,' you can contact the ticket office at 994-CATS and they can make that switch in your account.
My biggest piece of advice is to download your tickets and parking passes NOW instead of waiting for Saturday so we have time to help you troubleshoot.
Any other specific questions or concerns I can address?

If we got the mobile tickets, at the bottom it shows DOWNLOAD PDF. If we do that and print them, it has the QR code. That will work, correct?
Thanks!!!

Yes it will! That isn't the recommended way to do it but your code will certainly still scan.RockyBearCat wrote: ↑Tue Sep 07, 2021 8:04 am@BethanyCordell

I have had other mobile tickets that when you are in your "wallet" and bring up the specific ticket, you can click on the 3 dots at the top right and it gave an option to "transfer ticket". The only option I see for my game ticket is to Remove Pass. Is that a feature MSU can turn on to make it easier to transfer single tickets?
