Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Sounds like he’s expected to be available for the week 6 game (Oct 13) vs Buffalo. I think he starts practicing after game 4. They have a bye week 5.

Anybody know what's up with Troy? I did a search but not finding much.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Just a reminder that Troy is still technically in the NFL. Stuck on the PUP/IR though. Maybe November will be different but coach makes it sound like that might even be a long shot.
https://www.si.com/nfl/falcons/onsi/tro ... ews-rumors"I know it's still off a bit," Morris said of Andersen's potential return. "We're just waiting for that process. Still on IR. Still going through the process. Not near the point of talking about him on a daily basis or whatever the case may be.
"So, we'll just have to wait and see."
Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!
And a kick away from a championship.
Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Thought I saw #44 out there on punt coverage. Did Troy get activated again?catatac wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 11:53 amI'm finally starting to come around and see just how impactful he is going to be at LB. He was disruptive yesterday, and his speed really shows when we scheme him properly. All that said, I can't be the only one that watched that pick six and thought..... dang, he needs to get the ball in his hands more!![]()
Edit with an afterthought. Maybe he'll be the first player in the history of college football to score touchdowns on every single one of his INTs.![]()

No, as of Nov 5, HC Morris said "“Still on IR. Nothing new. Still there.”WalkOn79 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 10, 2025 12:16 pmThought I saw #44 out there on punt coverage. When pressed on if there was a chance he could return this season, Morris said, “You never want to rule it out, but we'll have to just wait and see. Nothing new, no window activated, none of those things. Still working with our people and getting right, trying to get him right.”

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
I think he's been declared as having season ending injury, although I can't find anything on his status. I believe the PUP has a mandatory 4-week inactive, but then there's a 21-day practice window when a player can be evaluated. If the player doesn't get activated at the end of the 21 days, then he's moved to season ending status.
They are paying out the remainder of the his contract to the tune of roughly $1.7M for this year. Not too shabby.

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Falcons are retaining their DC so that might be promising.
I guess the rumor is that they held him out of the end of the season so nobody would get film on him and they could re-sign him this offseason without any competition. Hopefully that's the case. Ideally he gets a one year contract, stays heathy, plays up to potential and signs a larger multi-year contract (with a team on this side of the country).
