Oh boy, this thread is going at least 20 pages now that the issue of regional taco chains has been raised.
Ha!!!
Feels good to be the champs....

Personally i like the enchiladas and a beef cheese crisp when I'm at the Amigo Lounge(taco treat). Then i go down the street and get a fluffy taco and fat alberto from El Comadore!
I used to love El Comador when I was a kid. I tried it as an adult a few years ago and I changed my mind.

A fat Alberto or a Lolita used to be my jam.
Cheese crisp at Amigo's with my great grandma will be a memory I treasure forever. If the O.P. had a Mount Rushmore she would be on that too.
In high school (CMR) we go to Taco Treat most days. For two bucks you could get a taco and a plate of cheese fries.
Now I'm hungry.

Considering he just had shoulder surgery, i would say yes.

I would imagine he’s not available for spring ball and would be limited for much of the summer.

I don't think that would matter to the teams that want him but he's not going anywhere. With all he's been through he was probably even less likely that Taco to leave and Taco was never leaving.

Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!

We need to help get as many kids signed up for his camps and corporate sponsors as possible.

Share on all your social media and contact business owners. We need to make it worth his while.

Or just donate to his venmo.
This =D^
Done. Also ordered one of those sweet TD 14 hats. So everyone agrees that college football is somewhat a mess now once they opened up pandora's box and allowed paying players. That said, the one bright spot, and good thing about this is that we can just flat out give Taco and any other players money just to show appreciation for them sticking around and playing for the Bobcats. Can you imagine after that TD throw and catch, if they could have flashed Justin and Taco's Venmo barcode up on the big screen and on TV and encouraged Bobcat fans to show their appreciation with their pocketbooks, and oh - if you donate enough they won't transfer.

I'm so impressed that Taco is staying. I'm sure he turned down an astonishing amount of money. The two biggest factors in my mind that led him to stay are 1. His character and 2. The quality of our program. Any other things I'm missing?

It's quite noticeable for both MSU and UM that Montana kids seem to stick around more often than out of state players. Probably has something to do with wanting to play for these schools their whole lives

He's also the most well-known and marketable player on the team and will be able to translate that into good NIL opportunities by staying at MSU. Just look at his football camps, merchandise website, etc. that will all bring in income for him. At another school he might get more booster money for NIL but he'd also be a smaller fish in a bigger pond which might limit other forms of NIL opportunities.

I was just talking about this with a buddy, but whatever we are paying Taco isn't nearly enough. Every elementary and middle school boy in the state of Montana wants to be Taco Dowler. My 14 year old son asked for a Taco Dowler jersey for his birthday. Hell, my 10 year old daughter dressed up as a Taco for halloween because of him. She and one of her classmates made matching snowmen at school and named them Taco and Caden. Taco has inspired a generation of future Bobcats....not only football players, but future students as well.

Yeah, I would swap numbers 3 and 1. It's possible to be a high character guy and transfer to a higher level program. Growing up in MT and wanting to go to school at MSU is a big deal and if he wants to stay in MT after school/football there's very little reason besides money to transfer. Plus he's engaged so he's got more than just himself to think about.

My mother asked for a Taco jersey for Christmas and I got her one.

I thought of these exact things too. One day we'll see a Montana kid transfer I'm sure, but state pride, family connections, and wanting to graduate from your chosen school matters to in state guys perhaps more than the ones who transfer in. That being said, I think there are out of state guys who feel at home here too, Carr, Gray, and others. But growing up in Montana, being a Cat or a Griz from a young age, matters. Also, who would Taco be at a school out of Montana? I mean really? Some little guy with a cool name. And that's somewhat how he described himself in one interview I saw. But here in Montana, he's a star, and will continue to be with all that he's doing to keep Bobcat football relevant and successful for the next generation.

His impact on the next generation can't be overlooked. He's not just a great local kid who made it big in college. His message is "you can stay in Montana and be successful, you don't have to leave to accomplish your goals". That's a message that isn't heard very often.
