That's $879 per seat.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think 8 extra per season ticket holder was too many. I think we will see more Griz fans as a result. It’s too tempting not to sell at least a couple of those if you’ve so many.
I still don't think we're going to see a bunch of Bobcat season ticket holders selling out and selling these to Griz fans but I guess we'll see. I do agree however, with 8 being too many. If I strike out on getting ANY extra tickets, after applying for them immediately when the first communication went out, after how much I've invested MSU as a season ticket holder over the past 30 years... then yes I'll be kinda bummed. That would make me think they should do it differently, maybe allow every season ticket holder to at least get one extra ticket if they want, and then distribute all the rest of them via priority points.
A total of 50 seats available on seat geek right now from season ticket holders. I know there are many businesses that have season tickets but are not fans, they just give the tickets out to clients. I also know of a few scalpers that have season tickets. These season ticket holders are the reason why a lot of us ain’t seeing the game. …. Unless we pay $600 a ticket

I hope so. I just want 2 tickets... I want to see this game badly, but I'm not sure I can stomach a fellow Cat fan serving the scalp fee. I sure would have loved to have had season tickets but life events and distance didn't make it feasible this year. Ugh. Just sucks.

I hope you’re right about the first part, and maybe I’m underestimating the number of friends folks have. It definitely would make more sense, to me at least, to distribute the rest more equitably. Maybe like every requester gets two and then two more and so on

Realistically, how many tickets do you think they could sell for this game, if the stadiums capacity allowed? 100k like the Big House in Michigan?

Anything they throw my way has 2 or 3 Bobcat Fans stacked deep willing to take them, so yeah, not going to any Griz fans.

AD kinda crapped the bed on this. Why in the world are they letting anyone request 8 or 12 tickets with this wide of demand?

You can't buy season tickets either. They haven't sold any to the public for the last two or three years.

I can see almost all Cat season ticket holders doling these extras out at fair pricing. I certainly will. I can also see Cat season ticket holders being extra careful to not accidentally sell to gris fans. I certainly will.

Reach out to anyone you know who might have a high priority. There should be way for true Cat fans to get in this game with some persistence.

I bet 50k minimum. Maybe 75k???

Everyone in the state wants to go to this game! Hopefully it’s an eye opener for the athletic department to expedite the future expansion plans.

Ok that answers it. They won't make it down the priority point list very far before they're completely gone. SeatGeek is going to be lit.
Is it? I would think the vast majority of season ticket holders are getting these tickets for family and friends. I certainly hope that's the case.
The MSU ticket office has botched this whole thing.
Not limiting the number of tickets season ticket holders can buy is crazy. Many fans that have supported this team for years and years won’t be able to see this game. What a shame.
Season ticket holders pay for every game in a season and also a Bobcat club membership as well. This accounts for the majority of the incoming revenue and makes everything possible. Not sure why you would feel entitled to getting a ticket.

And as an fyi, a person or group that has 20 season tickets is still only entitled to 8 extra tickets.

Agree with this sentiment. When we called in, they told us we could request 6 tickets in addition to renewing our 6 season tickets. That seems like a much better policy to be able to double your personal allotment, but I don't get paid nearly enough to make those sorts of decisions.

All bobcatnation season ticket holders...if you have tickets to sell I would hope that you might go down the ticket exchange list and give us all that have asked for tickets opportunities. I am willing to pay more then face value even but 7-800 a ticket is crazy talk.

"Only.". Buy NFL season tickets and see how many bonus playoff seats you get a shot at. Even 4 was overkill.

Agreed. I think it should have been limited to 2-4. However, it has always been 8 and it’s never once been a problem. Until this game. If anything, it has probably helped boost attendance during playoff games. I know I often buy extra tickets come playoff time to hand out to employees, friends, or people that typically don’t attend to help get butts in the seats. Not always, and not always 8, but I do.

I know their main goal was to keep these tickets in Bobcats hands and this was probably the best way.

I thought I also heard that season tickets account for 16,000 tickets. If so, while this affects some of us, it’s far from the majority.

I think the demand for new season tickets holders next spring is going to be very eye opening to them. That is the only way to ensure playoff tickets. Especially with Cat/gris in Bozeman next year.

Pretty sure every NFL seat is held by a season ticket holder. If they have 60,000 seats, they have 60,000 season ticket holders.

MSU situation is unique. Not even FBS has something like this. A rivalry game at home for a chance to advance to the national championship. And I believe this allocation system with season ticket holders is used for regular season games - like Cat Gris.

Hard to have demand when you don't sell any.

This is wrong. Season tickets were available if you inquired. They even announced when those available sold out this year as a new record.
