My group will be there. Heck, you sure can't blame the weather.
You sure can if you're travelling from all over the state to get there! For lots of people it will depend on what transpires from the storm that is coming. If some of the areas get the amount of snow projected, along with the wind and low temps, it could easily keep people from driving.
Weird storm moving through Montana. North and east of Bozeman gets hit hard. On Friday, highs in Bozeman will be in the upper 40s, and at the same time a high of 5 in Havre and -1 in Glendive! Lewistown supposed to get up to 20 inches of snow! Drive safe everyone....

If you are coming from west of Bozeman it will be wet and windy but nothing like what our Northern and Eastern Cat fans will face.
I will be traveling this afternoon from MSO and expect a good turn out of commuters from my fellow west side divide Cat fans this week!
I am guessing 18377 for the game, weather, and Friday night game will crimp a few folks for this one. U of missoula is giving away tix to faculty, staff and anyone else just to try to get 18K. Pathetic as usual.

The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.

HUGE game. SFA will be a VERY difficult game. I will be shocked if this doesn't go to the end of the final whistle.
You're going to be shocked.
Please explain. I love your confidence but I’d like to know why.
I think we match up better with them than we did with Yale.

I don't think SFA is bad by any means, I just think we outclass them on the LOS and that's going to make a big difference. Yale was better than I thought, but more importantly, they matched up really well with MSU. I don't think there's a single team left in the playoffs that can do that, except for maybe USD. We're not great against a power run game, but really only USD runs that of anybody who's left. We're just better than SFA.
Yale, much like Mercyhurst, had an offense designed to keep the game lower scoring. Long, extended drives. Point of fact, so does MSU for the most part unless we just break something. This keeps games "closer" than they would otherwise be. A few bounces of the ball change a game from 28-6 to 21-13. Plus, Yale is probably one of the most disciplined teams I've seen come in here in a very long time.

SFA seems to be more reliant on burst plays. They want to score quickly. So, either they hit a plethora of plays like that, which no one has done all year besides Oregon, or they hit a couple, like ISU(not Indiana State), but overall it leads to us wearing them down and building a lead.

I just looked at their ticket site and its worse this time than it was last week at the same time. They might be lucky to get to 18k at this point. Also, they are selling their tickets for $42 a pop, I thought it was $50 a person?

You can blame the weather some for travelers from the East for sure.

We are leaving Laurel around 3pm tomorrow - Weather Underground says the snow will have stopped by then. Hopefully, the highway crews will be out plowing and sanding. Supposed to get better the further west we go.

Just as an FYI the NCAA doesn't allow tickets to be given away for playoff games. All tickets have to be sold for the minimum amount any ticket was sold for in the regular season. So if there was a game where they sold $25 tickets then all tickets sold for playoffs have to sell for at least $25.

That means if they are giving away tickets to staff/etc someone is still paying for them. Could be their athletic department or couldbe community donations similar to what we do for student tickets

I’m hoping they decide to get in here “early” today and start to “tuneup” for the game earlier than usual.

Totally agree on Bozeman weather, it's just getting there for some folks (and getting home) that will deter them from making the drive. Winter Storm warning all over the state North of Bozeman. Calling for 6 to 10 inches of snow, and for example the forecast HIGH in Plentywood on Friday is -8.
Yeah my Glasgow buddies are sending some pics. Crazy storm going on up north.

Or maybe they aren’t following the rules. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Have you watched their playoff game vs. ACU? ACU ran all over them. I’m more concerned with their offense than defense. And I’m not overly concerned with their offense as long as we don’t give Vidlak an hour in the pocket.
I haven't watched it but ACU did lose the game, so SFA must have stopped them just enough?

Nobody really stopped anyone in that game, it was an offensive slugfest no defense required.

Back and forth barn burner. ACU threw a pick late to let SFA seal the game.

I’m starting to hear about a lot of fans that won’t be going due to driving conditions. Apparently Glasgow has 26 inches of snow. And that storm is moving south pretty quickly.

Anybody making the drive from Great Falls? My plan is to leave tomorrow morning with a stop in Helena for a couple of hours. Not feeling the best about the drive though

According to the radar it just started snowing there not too long ago so I highly doubt they already have 26 inches! I'd believe that number as far as the storm total though.

I checked the cameras this morning and it was very very white.

Helena has light wind and a little spit of rain but roads are great. It was 68 degrees last night as its fallen some but its still 51 here at 2:30. It sounds like the front is going to stall about halfway between so it might be slick leaving GF but it will get better.

I just spent some time looking on the MDT road cameras around the state. There's some snow in the NE part of the state, but the cameras elsewhere don't show much as of about 10 minutes ago. Great Falls roads looked bare and dry.
