SDSU or frizzlies?

Post by spring creek cat » Mon Dec 01, 2025 10:21 am

I always want to see the grizz lose especially at home in the playoffs. I am kinda torn on this one, however. A healthy sdsu team is a better team than the grizz, they worry more in a semi final game than UM. So I was wondering who everyone on here would like to play in the semi finals, I am really torn on that thought!

Doesn't matter to me. Bring 'em on. We can handle either. I'm only torn between beating the gris twice in one year or avenging the loss to SDSU. (I guess we are all discounting the USD/Mercer winner).

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

I know SDSU got their qb back, but theyve had a bunch of other injuries as well (OL, WR, LB, etc). Not sure how many of those guys are back healthy.

For me, I don't like to cheer/hope for an opponent (It's backfired too many times). Rather just make it about the Cats and saying, "give us whoever, and I want to beat you so bad it sets your program back for years". Especially this time of year, because no matter what we are going to be playing a good team.
There's good narrative to play either. Revenge against SDSU, getting a 2nd monkey off our backs. Or, having a historic 2 Cat-Griz wins in one season, the second in the Semis to go to the National Championship.
Que sera, sera!

But first...let's get beat Yale, and then SFA/ACU. :D

If we build it, the championships will come: https://msubobcats.com/sports/2017/9/20 ... rPlan.aspx

I'd love to see the Bobcats get another shot at SDSU in the semis, what a cool opportunity for them to get to avenge the loss from earlier in the season for a chance to go to Nashville. However, I think the Griz will win by 10 points this weekend.

The LB and the RB are back, I believe O'Grosuke (WR) is still out but not much is known. No idea on the OL, but their OL played much better in this latest game.

Definitely a tough draw for um

We already beat the gris. I want to avenge week 2. Beat the gris in the brawl, beat SDSU in Semis, beat NDSU in the finals.

This would be perfect.

A Cat-griz playoff game would be epic but probably end up boring as we'd win by double digits in Bozeman. I'd rather see sdsu again and thump their asses.

I've been conflicted, but I like this take.

It's a toss-up for me. On one side of the coin, I don't want to play the gris in the semis because by default that will mean they'll have a successful season by making it to the semifinals. I'd love to see them finish their season with back-to-back losses and being one & done in the playoffs. On the other side of the coin, if they were to beat SDSU and USD/Mercer and make the semifinal game, I'd love it due to the fact we'll get a historical win in the rivalry by beating them twice in the same season! Go CATS!! \:D/

SDSU is almost at full strength, they roll the gris 40-17.

Don't forget beating SFA next week to avenge them backing out of their contract and forcing us into playing Mercyhurst two years in a row!

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

Doesn’t matter to me but I think the Gris have their hands full Saturday with a more healthy SDSU.

Based on earlier posts, I assume @OldGriz considers this an easy win for Montana but I don’t see it and it should go down to late in the 4th until decided.

I’ll go Gris by 1 just because I am hoping for the semifinal game of both UM and MSU make it there.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

It's amazing how many gris fans I see on social media crying about the tough draw, and how this was some sort of conspiracy led by Leon Costello....lol.

To be fair, plenty of MSU fans tried to generate similar conspiracy theories back in 2022 when MSU got seeded 4th instead of 3rd and had to go to SDSU for the semifinal instead of playing at home after Sac State lost as the #2 seed. At that point the UM AD was still on the committee so naturally it had to be all his fault!

I want SDSU to win by 9 touchdowns. I never want to see that dark pink team win another game
