Leon Costello
Given the great news that Coach Vigen is staying for at least another year, I hope that MSU doubles Leon's pay. In my mind, Leon is the main person responsible for Bobcat Athletics' current overall success.

Leon's a class act. I've met with him number of times & he's on target. Best AD we've ever had by a long shot.

I’m interested to see what went down bc something obviously did. However, I don’t think Leon can just give coach a raise without the board of regents. Boosters?

Remember that clown we had hired for a very very short time before Leon? Glad he decided he was too good for us. Anyone have any idea what ever became of him?

Re: Leon Costello
Leon is honestly an insanely good AD. He's the architect of what I would call across the board the most successful era of Montana State athletics. He deserves a raise, and I'm shocked he hasn't been poached

Re: Leon Costello
Leon’s leadership has been crucial in developing the entire athletics department at MSU.
He’s a strategic thinker, and it shows. Dr. Cruzado and Leon have placed MSU on a path of exponential development that will pay dividends for thousands of students for years to come. We are damn lucky to have Leon at the helm. And he’s not done yet!

Re: Leon Costello
I agree that Leon is not only an excellent AD, but truly exceptional. However, I don't think he would be nearly so without Wadad Cruzado as President. I doubt any.other President had put the emphasis on athletics that she did and the other areas where she greatly impacted MSU played a significant role in the rise of the athletic department. Things like the increased enrollment, donor acquisition for new buildings, and her working tirelessly in her desire to make MSU the best in everything. We were blessed to have her and blessed to have Leon (and the way the AD search went, maybe a bit lucky).
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

Got this email last night from Bobcat Athletics:
Dear Bobcat Fan,

The road to the National Championship is ahead, and it takes more than talent on the field—it takes the strength of Bobcat Nation. Your support has already made a huge impact, from regular season sell outs to creating an atmosphere that is second to none in the FCS. Thank you!

“As a football program we can’t stand still, we need to do everything we can to build off of the tremendous momentum that we’ve built. Winning over in Missoula, capturing our third Big Sky championship in four years is just the beginning of what we can accomplish. We need the support of Bobcat Nation to keep moving forward and I thank you in advance for continuing to step up so we can succeed on and off the field. Go Cats!”
