I think wortham actually gets the opy.

He shouldn't as OPY. That should not include his return yards. Statistically he isn't top. Lately hasn't had nearly impact on games as 1st half of season. Didn't play against 3rd best team and was average today.

Wortham only has 80 yards more than Taco. He actually has fewer catches than Taco. Heck, Wortham barely cracks the Top 10 in yards, hes #19 in yards per catch, barely top 10 in total catches.

Wortham is really good, don't get me wrong. But hes not even close to the best receiver in the conference. (He might not be the best receiver in the state). If hes not the best receiver in the conference (I think it's Gbutu or Shulikov) he certainly isn't OPOY.

Hes arguably the best return man in the conference. But hes barely Top 10 for OPOY IMO.

Having seen Gbutu and Shulikov, I would agree with you. They are both good receivers.

Shulikov does a lot more with a lot less talent around him.

Also, after he tipped the ball to Caden Dowler, he sat on the turf whining with his hands up to the ref instead of trying to make up for the INT he just caused.

I haven't watched enough ball to know if thats typical...but its a sign of a REALLY bad teammate.

I would not argue with Gilman getting the award. He runs behind a mediocre OL and still produces at a high level. Threat in the passing game. Stellar player.

Wortham is a formidable weapon and hurt us initially. But he wasn’t a factor in 2nd half, except for the pass Dowler caught. And he’s definitely not a newcomer.

You don't get OPOY if you are held to one reception for 3 yards when you play a real defense. Sure he scored a TD running the ball but he was shut down at his natural position.

He consistently had 10 yard runs and that run still happened. You have to factor in all of his rushes, good players produce in big moments and Gillman did just that. 8+ YPC and had a nasty pancake block early in the game
