The way coach Vigen chewed out the O-line group in the 1st half (and presumably in the locker room at halftime), I believe the Cats will hang 20+ points on the lesser pandas by halftime. The week off rust is gone and MSU is going to start pounding and dominating the LOS more than they already have.

It should be the + as the cats had two 1st and goals and had to settle for 2 field goals. Still a good domination by the O-line against a hardy NCU defense. The D-line is truly dominating as well!

Such a funny thread. Im learning that bad teams are actually good, and bad defenses actually good defenses. I’ll say the BSC might be the best in all of FCS.

Patiently waiting to hear that the Cat defense is somehow not a good defense to put a bow on this one.

UNCU is surprisingly 1-3 in conference halfway through the schedule but that win was against Idaho, who is lucky PSU still attempts to play football. Their only other D1 win is against Houston Christian, a bad Southland team that they needed OT to beat. They seem like they'll put up a fight for four quarters but playing 60 minutes is as close as the 2025 Bears will get to "sneaky".

Look again. They've only lost one game all season by more than a TD. They are much improved, which should come as no surprise considering Ed Lamb's track record...

They have a very good defense. They nearly shutout UC Davis in the second half last week. Ed Lamb is a very good coach, and I'm stunned he's at UNC. Nevertheless, he has them playing inspired ball and their defense can get hot and make things tough for anyone. The Cats go up against another good defense next week in Weber State. Good tests for them late in the season.

Look it up. Conference only and FCS only. Their overall stats are skewed by two FBS games.

In conference play they have allowed the 3rd most TD’s, allow 34.8 points per game.

The only reason they look remotely decent on a yardage basis is because half their games have come against EWU and Portland State, both of whom had some of their better games against Weber, and because the other teams are calling off the dogs at the end of the game. Sac State ran for 400 yards at 8 yards a clip against Weber, and Davis passed at will on them. In no way, whether it be tape or statistically, are they a good defense.

This. I think Tom hit the bottle early with this post. Weber does not have a good defense. It’s actually quite bad.

I just know the griz might put up 70 on the good Weber defense if they decide to. So if Webers D is good, Griz have far and away the best offense in the nation.
