Frisco weather

Post by Helcat72 » Tue Dec 31, 2024 2:33 pm

Well, it's not supposed to rain....but the temperature is due to fall 20 degrees from Sunday.
Sunday the high is 59, Monday it's 39!
Why can't the Bobcats have decent weather for once?

Yes it's been remarkable weather this season. It is a little ironic that the coldest game of the season may be in Texas, but it's the dead of winter. To be expected, especially for a night game. Hopefully the rain holds off and the field is dry...

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Yep. Pretty much packing the same clothes and coats I have been wearing to the playoff games… I have never been to Texas. Is 30 degrees going to feel colder than 30 degrees in MT with the humidity?

As a Montanan living in TX, can confirm that 30 in TX feels colder than 30 in MT.

I almost think this is to our advantage. We just had a night game against Idaho that wasn’t extremely warm. Our guys are practicing in snow and cold….plus, after several drinks you probably won’t even notice the temps.

Agreed. Was In Texas 34 yrs ago in March. Was about 38 and blowing and I about froze to death. Remind you I was dressy for 60. Good news is Cats have been practicing out doors in the snow …. They’re good

Can I bring those hand warmers called “Hot hands” do you know. On a plane and in the stadium?

Good idea on the hand warmers! They are allowed on a plane both carry on and checked luggage. I am sure they are allowed in the stadium.

Resident Texan again helping out...... it will feel colder in Texas. The humidity cuts through to the bone. If the wind blows its even worse. Hand warmers will be allowed in the stadium, we are sissies compared to yall when it gets cold, lol. Keep checking the weather as the weather turns very fast here. I would bring parkas just in case cause if it rains Lord help everyone it gets miserable quick, lol. I don't think it's going to rain but I would keep checking cause like I said weather is bipolar down here.

Have we even played a game on natural grass this year? I can’t recall.

10-4 on that, I froze my ass last game in Texas. Only brought a vest and hood shirt, it wasn’t enough. That humidity makes it feel way colder than the dry cold we get here. If it’s gonna be cold I would much more prefer snow vs. rain, I guess that goes for anywhere when it’s cold and wet.

I doubt the weather will be much of a factor in the game, but if it is, it will be more of an advantage for the Cats!

Born and raised in Bozeman, spent 12 years in NoDak dealing with the miserable NDSU fans albeit not as bad as the folks from over the hill, now live in DFW and can confirm it will feel colder with the humidity.

Nope, all road games this year were on artificial surfaces.

They played one game on grass (at Colorado), we've played none. They haven't played an outdoor game since October-and only once outside of Fargo (at South Dakota) in that time. What's is mean? Nothing...probably.

Glad I brought a heavy sweatshirt to the game in ‘22. Visited the Fort Worth Aviation Museum the following day and it was so cold and windy thought it was going to snow.
