Traveling to Davis
Who’s going to Davis? And what are your travel plans? Is there a charter for fans? What airport do you fly into?
Hating the griz since 02.

Flying to Sacramento. Haven't heard of a charter.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Might be time to brush up on your geography a touch.

Re: Traveling to Davis
One flies into Sacramento to get to Davis.
They are about 20 miles apart. Separated by some rice paddies.
My youngest and I are flying out of Bozeman on Thursday and my oldest is flying in from Arkansas on Friday.
See you there.
I don't think there are a ton of game tickets left?

BZN to SEA to SMF (Sacramento) on Alaska.
Not great transit in the area so renting a car.
Motel in Davis.
As noted, Sacramento is close and an easy drive to Davis if you want to stay in Sac.

It’s perfection or nothing….haven’t you read the game day threads?

Not to pile on, but Sac & Davis have been in conference for 20+ years. And they've been good...sometimes REALLY good recently.
I'd encourage you to look at a road trip. 3 CA teams, there are a lot of years where Cats have 2 road games...makes for a great road trip. Catch a game in Sac or Davis, then take the PCH down to Cal Poly.
Its some of the most spectacular country on planet Earth.

Re: Traveling to Davis
As a brewer who has visited there a few places to seek out if you want some good beer:
Flatland Brewing
Urban Roots
Fieldwork (very famous for Hazy IPA's
and a little out of town the wrong direction but would be top on my list is Moksa. They are the best pastry stout brewery in the country.
If your making a weekend of it and going through wine country Russian River (Santa Rosa or the new big production facility is in Windsor) is a top 3 brewery in the USA. Maybe number 1.

Re: Traveling to Davis
I live in the Bay Area so will be driving... Sacramento is definitely the closest airport but doesn't have nonstop options from Bozeman. San Francisco airport is 85 miles away and has direct flights on United. Oakland airport is around 75 miles away and has many more options for Southwest. Keep in mind that this is California, so depending on what day and time you fly in those drives from the Bay to Davis could take anywhere from 1 hour to 2+ hours.
Does anyone know the Visitor section? On an old seating chart from a couple years ago it shows Section 102, so think I'll get tickets there.

Saw something that said Bobcat fans in sections 101 and 102. I'm betting there'll be plenty in 103. That's where ours are (on the section 104 edge) - closer to the 50 yard line.Go Kats wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 1:07 pmI live in the Bay Area so will be driving... Last time I went to Davis there was huge amounts of seating and the Cat fans basically found a section to congregate. It was behind the Cats sideline as well.catscat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 1:36 pmSaw something that said Bobcat fans in sections 101 and 102. I'm betting there'll be plenty in 103.
