I'm uploading these images under duress. I'm including the mark on them just so the gris fans know where they came from when they are stolen and posted on their fan board. 8)

They’re so embarrassed about the bubble that they’ve decided to just have an outdoor IPF. First of its kind!
More trouble for the Jizzly IPF. From EGRiz: "The turf field was laid down before the subsurface was fully dried and it was not properly draining. The turf has been totally removed and they are working with heavy equipment to replace the subsurface. They are moving lots of dirt. After it is properly dry, the turf field will again be put in place. Is this the definition of a Cluster-F??"
Trying to make sense out of this. I don't understand why they had to replace the subsurface or what needs to drain. Why was the subsurface wet? And if it was wet, why couldn't they just remove the turf and let it dry instead of replacing it? Was it the wrong type of subsurface dirt/material?
I would want to know if there was any chance ground water was wicking up into their subsurface material. The water table is not very deep in Missoula which allows them to use it as a way to heat and cool a lot of the buildings on campus. I recall one of their buildings quite a few years ago that they had drilled a source well and a reinjection well to heat and cool a building and they had to reverse the wells as they found out the underground flow was the opposite of what they thought it was. Is the underground flow under the practice field flowing to the river or away from the river or parallel to the river?

Headed there today. Drove by yesterday and the north parking lot looks ready for paving with the 'east' parking lot not too far behind. Also looked at the new scoreboard and it looks complete despite some of the comments about work on it last week.

I'm no engineer but wouldn't this also affect the track area as well? They can't just roll up that section.

The scoreboard crew must of worked Saturday to get the siding back up on the northside. I saw it was back up yesterday, too. Didn't see anyone working on it yesterday.

Is a wet field better or worse for dance classes?

The wet field is dual purpose for dance and wet basket weaving. McDonalds requires either of these classes for employment. Both classes are a prerequisite for dUMb law school.

Facility will be for both competition and practice. So, looks like track is out of the Brick for at least most events.

I got to know coach Kennedy and Coach Stark a bit when I was in school. Great guys, great Bobcats (though I think Stark graduated from UM).

This facility is huge for both football and track. Great collaboration here.

You sure about the competition part? The experts to the west said the facility was not adequate for that.

Rob Stark, long time assistant track coach for MSU. He has Multiple Sclerosis and has been wheelchair-bound for decades but you always see him at MSU sporting events!

Olympics aren't being held in Bozeman anyway.

I don’t recognize either of the names behind this facility. Would someone be kind enough to educate me on both of them?

Rob Stark: Men’s track and field coach from 1976-2000.

Dale Kennedy: Women’s track and field coach 1981-2000, head of combined programs 2000-2018

A well deserved honor for both.

I went by the new fitness center to take some photos but the street and sidewalks were blocked off, so I had to take them from different angles than I have before. Looks like they are working on turning part of West Grant into the new pedestrian walkway soon.
