Darian White vs. Caitlyn Clark Sun Feb. 11
Nebraska WBB, with Darian White starting at point guard, hosts Iowa on Sunday Feb. 11th at 11 a.m. MST on Fox Sports in a Big10 Conference matchup. This is a great opportunity to watch Darian face off with the Iowa point guard, Caitlyn Clark — simply the best player anywhere. Clark puts on a clinic every game, with her pinpoint passes, rebounding, speed, quickness, and seemingly unlimited three-point range — at home, scoring from off the beak of the Hawkeye is a pretty common occurrence, although she favors the left side. If you haven’t watched Darian or Caitlyn play this year, this is a great opportunity as a lot of their games are on Big10+ or Peacock.
She’s leading the nation in scoring at 32.2 points in 33.6 minutes per game, and has 11 40-point games in her career, along with 13 triple-doubles. She gets 6.9 rebounds a game, and has 197 assists and 38 steals in 24 games. Last game, against Penn State, she scored 27 but added 15 assists! She’s only 39 points short of breaking Washington’s Kelsey Plum’s career scoring record of 3,527.
Clark is a slender 6-footer — think MSU’s Isobel Bunyan or Brooke Berry. Darian did well in their first matchup, but was mostly switched off Clark because of the 6-inch height distance. Will Darian have a closeup look at the new record, or will she prevent it?

Hopefully Darian can play, she was out with an injury for their game against Michigan earlier in the week.

Quick mention by announcers no White today. She practiced yesterday but she's out today.

Darian is in off the bench and guarding Clark on defense!

Great comeback win for Nebraska, Darian will definitely get another shot at the NCAA Tournament now! Iowa got what they deserved after backing off so that Clark can set the scoring record at home.

Saw Darian hit a jumper near the end of the third quarter. She has a heavily wrapped leg and spent a lot of time on the bike behind the bench. I thought I was watching the Bobcat men's team in the 4th quarter the way Iowa blew a 14 point lead. Great win by Nebraska. Probably secures them an NCAA bid.

Darian still looks like Darian. Great on defense except when she got lost once. Enters on the left side on offense. Looks for the pull-up. Made one in the key. Good ball movement. Air-mailed a three-pointer from the corner. What an exciting atmosphere for her to get to experience.

Looks like Darian will get another shot at Caitlin Clark in the Big Ten title game tomorrow, as Nebraska is already there and Iowa has a big lead in their semifinal. Nebraska benefitted from the #1 seed Ohio State getting upset by Maryland yesterday in the quarterfinals.
