A.J Tanupo commits - *relax just added a news story
Kicking butt in Washington state this year. O and D linemen are my favorite recruits to get.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

He has the size to start right away. I feel horrible for the QBs in his commitment post

Re: A.J Tanupo commits
I'm a little curious if the conference realignment is scaring some kids off from WSU. 10 years ago the best players in WA were going to UW, WSU, and even EWU. We were lucky to get anybody. Now if they're not good enough for UW, maybe WSU doesn't look all that good to them. You are right--the Cats are doing really well in WA this year seems like.

I think Choate and Vigen have a lot to do with it too. From what I've read from past posts on BN, Ash kind of under recruited WA state. I'm not sure how true that is though. I was away from Bobcat football for most of the Ash years.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 2:00 pmI'm a little curious if the conference realignment is scaring some kids off from WSU. 10 years ago the best players in WA were going to UW, WSU, and even EWU. All I’ve ever wanted is a bunch of big ol Polynesians and Samoans on the lines. When one comes, more will follow.

Big time commitment! Plays with a lot of energy and is a welcome addition to the d-line room!
Side note, looks like the guy who made the video used to work for the Cats and is now with Eastside Catholic. Love the ties to the Cats!

Re: A.J Tanupo commits
According to 247, he's the 2nd highest graded commit we've had.

But man looking down that list, Jalen Cole was good when he was healthy but most of that top 10, top 20 list did not pan out or didn't stick around.

Even though its just a ranking/scoring system, I had no idea the quality of recruits that have verbaled this year!CelticCat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 2:26 pmAccording to 247, he's the 2nd highest graded commit we've had.

That list does a great job of showing what an inexact science recruiting is!CelticCat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 2:26 pmAccording to 247, he's the 2nd highest graded commit we've had.

I've always wondered what happened to Jalen Cole after he was injured. I saw him at a Bobcat softball game the next season but nothing after that. He doesn't post of Twitter. I hope he was able to graduate and is doing well in life.CelticCat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 2:26 pmAccording to 247, he's the 2nd highest graded commit we've had.

Re: A.J Tanupo commits
Ash got a few dudes from Washington. Odin Coe comes to mind, from Camas I believe, and O Lineman Alex Terrian. But EWU was really good in those years so maybe that's why we didn't get as many.AFCAT wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 2:03 pmI think Choate and Vigen have a lot to do with it too. DB from Portland area. Would have had P5 offers, but had a bad injury his senior year. I think he gray-shirted but never ended up playing for us (or anyone else I don't believe). Had a brother who played for Notre Dame(?). Choate recruit.lutecat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 4:06 pmI dont remember Max Lenzy.
