Eastern went out of bounds on 2 different plays and the clock continued to run. Is there a rule I’m missing?

Although the clock guy is playing fast and loose with that rule now.

In this game there is a ******-ton of misery, but the timekeepers and refs have exacerbated the issue.

It’s a 22-point Griz lead. Timekeepers?

Yes, actually. The timekeepers have been very Griz-friendly and the refs have ****** EWU tonight. Not really a debatable issue. It is pretty much expected that the Griz will get a few calls their way in WA-Griz.Griznationalist wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 11:45 pmprofisme wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 11:42 pmIn this game there is a ****** of misery, but the timekeepers and refs have exacerbated the issue.

Re: FCS Round 2 Games
Yikes. Montana dominated them. Plain and simple. EB was hurt. Ref blaming is soft as baby ****** in a 20 point loss, even in the big sky. I don’t care if it’s our rivalsprofisme wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 11:50 pmYes, actually. The timekeepers have been very Griz-friendly and the refs have ****** EWU tonight. Re: FCS Round 2 Games
Let’s see if I have all this straight:
The GRIZ just absolutely throttled the 4th ranked team in the nation but:
1. The refs gave them the win
2. The timekeeper gave them the win (a claim for the ages, incidentally)
3. They’re a dirty team.
4. They did it with smoke and mirrors.
5. Eastern allowed them to win by shifting down their legs.
I know I’m leaving out many other classics from this thread, but those are some of the highlights. It’s certainly odd that the team that took the cats behind the woodshed a couple of weeks ago sucks so bad.

Re: FCS Round 2 Games
I believe you play with the officials you have. Adjust.
Some of you wearing blue colored glasses were calling for holding against the Griz.
EWU threw the ball 80 fricking times without one holding call. Let that one sink in for a moment.

Well, they never did adjust on defense. I guess just to make me eat my words.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: FCS Round 2 Games
Griz special teams were again dominant and the difference in the game, just like in Cat griz.
Ewu certainly left some points on the field, the sure TD drop by Limu Jones, and the WR who got behind the griz D by 20 yards but Barriere missed him. Otherwise, Barriere played great, and through an obvious injury. Tough kid.
Griz were the better team last night and deserved to win this one.

Re: FCS Round 2 Games
Smoke and mirrors was not intended as an insult or slight. It just means that the information isn't reflective of the what's actually happening. You guys were down 1 when I said that and EWU was marching all over the field and UM had a 75-yard TD and got another TD after a blocked punt. Offensively, EWU had been dominating UM from midway through the first game until halftime of this game. I didn't think you'd be able to keep up with that 'plan' for lack of a better word. I was wrong. You got a TD on a 5 yard drive and an 8 yard drive, then another on a Pick6. I even gave your coach credit on Twitter for his special teams skills. Your special teams are incredible and your defense is opportunistic. Ford is absolutely amazing. I thought he was just getting lucky halfway through the season, but he comes through every week.Jobu wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 2:56 amLet’s see if I have all this straight:

Re: FCS Round 2 Games
If the griz would have started every drive on their own side of the field they would have lost by 16. Instead their defense and special teams placed them in EWU territory, including in the red zone multiple times, and they won by 16. Eastern never figured out that you can't block seven rushers with only 5 lineman and an occasional small RB. Hopefully JMU figures that out and also has the ability to get down on punt coverage and tackle the returner for less than a 15 yard return.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

1.) No, but they were awful. Both ways.Jobu wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 2:56 amLet’s see if I have all this straight:

2.) No, that’s absurd.
3.) Yes, absolutely. Dirtiest team I’ve seen in several years.
4.) No, special teams and defense.
5.) Yes and no. Griz definitely earned the win. I think Eastern lost momentum towards the end of the first half and kind of panicked, which just made it worse for them. But you have to give the griz a lot of credit for that.
