'Cats @ Weber State Predictions
This should be a tough game, but one the Cats can win. Our D is better than the Weber O. Even with Barron coming back they aren't amazing on offense. Our O looks to be pretty evenly matched with their D. The one thing that worries me is Shaheed. Gotta keep the ball away from him. Probably will be close throughout.

Big game for a special team. 24-10 Cats flex their muscles and lead all the way.

Re: 'Cats @ Weber State Predictions
I think it will be a tight, low-ish scoring game. Could come down to a special teams play or a key turnover.
I'll take the good guys.

I think the Bobcats are ready for this one. I think they're champing at the bit to show what they've got against a good team. They've heard too much that they haven't played anybody yet. And I know it's a short week, but not many guys have played a full game since Portland State. Shaheed is a problem, but Malik Flowers is a problem in the return game and he didn't do much a couple years ago. I like that so many starters play on the return team for MSU. As long as there aren't too many big mistakes, MSU can control this thing.

Re: 'Cats @ Weber State Predictions
I think Cat's score 6 times with Weber D keeping 4 out of the endzone for field goals. I think the Cat's D is a level above Webers O and allow 3 scores only one of which is a touchdown.
And an attaboy to kennethnoisewater for the correct usage of champing.

Weber’s D is good…maybe even great, but it’s not anywhere close to the elite D they were expected to field this season. Weber’s O isn’t terrible, but it’s not very good either.

Weber hung with a good Utah team for most of three quarters. They beat UCD in every category except the scoreboard. They could not run the ball vs. JMU. The only comparable games are vs. Davis and JMU and they played each in Ogden. They scored 24 on JMU and 14 on Davis.

No chance Weebs score more than 19. MSU will easily score more than 19. Bobcats win.

I don't think MSU knows how to score less than 40 points in this game, and no way Weber State puts up more than 20 points.

Re: 'Cats @ Weber State Predictions
Low scoring first half as the teams kinda feel each other out. 10 - 7 Bobcats. Third qtr though we make the right adjustments and get 2 TD's on offense and a Defensive score to their lone FG. They get a meaningless TD in the 4th qtr as do we but its over at that point. 38-17 MSU

No bad snaps on field goals. 4 FG, 2 TDfor the Bobs. 2 FG, 1 TD for the wilds.

Re: 'Cats @ Weber State Predictions
I will go with a prediction of 23-10.
Weber's defense should definitely be able to limit MSU, especially at home, at night, on a short week. So I don't think the Cats will roll, and a loss against Weber would not surprise, but I am still calling for a win.
The main reason is that I just don't find their offense to be very effective. Both their rushing and passing attacks are mediocre. They don't tend to put up many points. They turn the ball over a lot and take a lot of sacks.
Then you couple that with MSU's defense and I would expect them to get shut down.
Bottom line:
Our offense Vs. their defense is strength vs. strength
Our defense Vs. their offense is strength vs. weakness
So that's the matchup that I think tips the game.
