Where did it say he was sleeping with her? I missed that part.
I thought this was the most important part of the story.
“Investigators reportedly gave Swalwell a defensive briefing in 2015, and he cut ties with Fang soon after.”
She apparently had a history of sleeping with up and coming politicians... yikes..
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/swalwe ... onship.amp
“Fang reportedly helped fundraise for Swalwell's 2014 campaign and helped place at least one intern in his office.”
“An anonymous FBI official told the San Francisco Chronicle that "Swalwell was completely cooperative and under no suspicion of wrongdoing."”
From your article. No mention of a sexual relationship. No mention of any wrongdoing from swalwell.
I see she also raised funds for Tulsi.....does that mean.....?
Is there more info I’m missing?
So Swalwell who sits on an national intelligence committee was “friends” with a Chinese spy. This spy has a history of sleeping with politicians and the Feds actually notified Swalwell of her history. Swalwell won’t comment on their relationship which seems strange, but that is his right. You don’t have to, but given the facts and his response, it doesn’t seem like a stretch that he slept with her. She actually left the country when the FBI let her know that they were on to her.
For argument sake, let’s assume that Swalwell did not sleep with her. She was still a Chinese spy who was close to him. And keep in mind that Swalwell went after Trump JR for being a Russian asset when Trump JR had one chance introduction in passing with a Russian spy. You don’t see the hypocrisy in Swalwell’s action?

I would say that any government official (regardless of party affiliation) who conspires with a foreign agent and/or leaks classified information should (at the very least) be removed from the position.
At one point I thought that was a no brainer we could all agree on.

I agree. And I am not sure that leaking of classified information occurred with either. But don’t you see the hypocrisy of Swalwell? He accuses someone of an act of consorting with a spy, yet his infraction appears to be over a longer period of time and on a much more personal level. That is why I posted it in the hypocrisy thread. Don’t you agree Swalwell is a hypocrite?

Bump- still no further information about the case.
This does remind me of when Trump disclosed classified information to Russian government representatives at the White House.

"LAW AND ORDER" was Trump's battle cry which was supported by the GOP. Well the runoff election in Georgia is getting pretty ugly for law and order. Loeffler and Perdue made suspicious stoke trades with insider information they received as senators. Perdue's actions look the most damning related to his transactions. But now it looks like Loeffler was also dodging property taxes. These two senators are extremely corrupt, and will likely face no consequences for their actions.

Where in the article did you see that Loefler did anything wrong? I actually see that the article specifically states they could find no wrong:
The Daily Beast reported that there are no signs the couple acted improperly via non-public avenues to see their home devalued and tax bill lowered.
So according to you, anybody who saw their property tax bill go down would have been “dodging property taxes”. Seems like you are creating yet another Democratic slander conspiracy theory.

You will believe that the election was rigged without any proof, but with this obvious tax scam you can't see anything?
At the time, Atlanta was in a real estate boom that almost doubled property values from 2012 to 2020. But their property taxes went down 60%. I guess they were just lucky!

This has nothing to do the with election so don’t try to misdirect. What is the obvious tax scam you are referring to? What did they do wrong?

I have dealt with city and county assessor’s offices over the years (I presume you haven’t). This doesn't happen unless there are some illicit actions happening. Since this has made national news others would agree. Let me know if/when your taxes suddenly drop 60% for no known reason. The link and my previous post have made that point. I was drawing a comparison how your political bias will have you believe in conspiracies with no evidence, while ignore evidence in plain sight if they do not lineup with your political beliefs.

Not sure why you would think that I haven’t dealt with assessors, expect maybe that you are trying to condescending and a Dick...
I have seen my property taxes drop - specifically during the real estate drop in late 2000’s. I can tell you that I did not call the assessor and quiz them on why my taxes dropped! I also did nothing to get that reduction. I can assure that there was no illicit actions or tax scam as you have indicated.
Once again, putting all your bias aside, can you answer the question posed? You are claiming illicit actions and obvious tax fraud. The only thing that is clear is that their property was valued lower. What EVIDENCE do you have of any wrongdoing? Did they threaten someone? Did they promise a favor for lower taxes? Where is the obvious tax fraud?

I personally think, a Senators questionable finances and taxes, should be examined a bit more thoroughly, compared to a private citizen with no public office.

Nice name calling once again...
I pointed out as a person that has worked with the assessor’s office you don't have 60% devaluation during a housing boom and recent home upgrades costing nearly $400k. Your comparison of the housing crisis doesn't fit this scenario. And you of all people asking for evidence is laughable, as most of your recent posts are based in conspiracy theories. Again, if you cannot look at the facts of the situation and cannot see something nefarious happening, I suggest you step back from this thread and continue to question who the president-elect is.

First of all, I was responding to your condescending post to me. If you are going to be a Dick, I am going to call you a dick.
What you have presented is a conspiracy theory. None of the facts presented show that a crime occurred. They paid their taxes as presented. Nothing indicates that tax fraud has occurred.
It amazes how Hunter Biden is actually under investigation for tax fraud, yet you are adamant that he did nothing wrong. HE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION! You said that Loefler committed a tax scam, but the only fact known is that they paid less taxes. Loefler is not even under investigation but you have already convicted them for tax fraud.

Biden is. Although Trump is entitled to his legal challenges, I have stated it is time to move on. He has made his legal challenges and I have not seen proof of significant mass voter fraud. Not sure what you want, but I have been relegated to the fact that Biden is our next president.

Well there we go, we agree Biden is president-elect!

Senator Joni Ernst faces criticism for posting a photo of herself getting the COVID-19 vaccine after baselessly suggesting that the death count from the virus was being inflated by doctors who stood to gain financially from the pandemic.
Just some more GOP hypocrisy...
