For the future. D McGhee's career path will be one to follow. He could be out of a job when the Texans hire a new coach.

He’s very well thought of in coaching circles.

What do you think he does? Continue in the NFL?

Comes back as Ioane's offensive coordinator. 8)

Would be great, but unlikely.

Either Ioane, McEndoo, or Jay Hill (wildcard, don’t see it, but who knows) would be good.

Hope we don’t need to worry about it and Choate is here for years to come.

I got a feeling with this level of exposure that it isn’t that long. I’m putting the over/under at 3 years if he doesn’t go to BSU.

IF Choate leaves, I for one will be ecstatic. We want to have a program where our coaches are sought out for promotion. The last football coach I can remember being being “promoted” was Jim Sweeney to Washington State (1968?).

I love this idea. At a minimum, give Ioane the interim tag for the spring season. And if Udy leaves with Choate, Denarius has only been gone one year and makes sense as the OC.

I hope Choate doesn’t leave but would definitely understand why and I hope he would kill it at BSU. I will say Colton better have good info, because the stuff he is tweeting now is pretty bold and if I was a reporter I would make sure it’s solid before I tweeted the stuff he has been tweeting. For him to suggest potential coaches at MSU and how it would go seems really risky if untrue. Even if he has solid information, how would he know Choate wants to keep Miller at BSU? That would be some real inside information and I don’t see Choate ever telling a reporter that information, even if it was true at this point in the process.

If your left, you aren’t right.

I think that's a great silver lining. Its really unusual for a HC to improve after year 5. Obviously Choate could buck the trend, but I don't think its any more clear that Choate is the guy vs Ione...or whoever a nationwide search comes up.

Choate has been a great coach, and I'd much prefer to keep him for another 2-4 years, but there are plenty of silver linings in Choate getting a well deserved promotion.

Colton is just reporting what Football Scoop is reporting. Hopefully, Football Scoop does not have a great inside source....

FootballScoop is usually very very accurate... fortunately or unfortunately.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Doesn't seem like a good sign that he'd be there with them. If they were there to tell him he didn't get the job, he wouldn't have gone to the airport with them. If today is the day, that's a bad sign. If there are more meetings, it doesn't mean that much that Choate was there. Wonder if Choate is getting on the flight...?

Yeah if Choate gets on the flight its a done deal. But when he has recruits come in, he sends them off at the airport every time I do believe. So in reality he's probably just doing the same thing...but again there's also the possibility of what I said in the first sentence.

Or, since it's a bad weather day in Bozeman, they decided to have the meeting at the airport.
