Getting some beams up at the top of the 2nd level this afternoon. Gives you an idea of the size of the building.

The camera must be inside. With the reflection of images off windows I'm guessing makes it hard to get a clear picture of the ironworkers connecting up the beams.

The smoke is making it worse. Usually it's brighter outside than inside and you don't get the reflections. Things are clearing up here in the Flathead today, hopefully that comes soon in the Gallatin Valley.

Looks like the Bobcats locker room is being demolished this morning.

That’s interesting. Leon said they wouldn’t tear it down until the building was completed.

They need the room to build the retractable roof over the stadium. \:D/

Well that was probably the plan back when there was going to be football this fall.

Yes, it'll probably be completed to a point that they won't need the block house(s) anymore. It's about five months until the season.

I know in construction--particularly in renovations or construction around existing buildings--sequencing is a big part of planning and can make a job more difficult. This job had to take into account certain space or schedule restrictions with a regular football season happening. I'm wondering if they've been able to make any major adjustments to the timeline because they don't have to work around anything this fall. I doubt it's enough to shorten the timeline by more than a couple weeks, but I'd be curious to know.

At least on iPhones, try this...

If you tap the link in Bobcat Nation on your iPhone, it uses an internal browser to display the contents. If you see “Done” in the upper left corner then you are in the internal browser, which is limited in capability and the depth of the links it will follow — it’s just a quick reader. But in the upper right corner is a circular compass icon. Tap that, it will open the page in Safari, and you should have video!

What really torques me off about this construction crew is that they seem to take lunch the same time I do? Geez!!!!

It looks like only about half the steel is in place. I imagine they might be waiting for the block house to be done (almost is now) being torn down, so they have more room to work before they put the rest in? It's a big building. Bigger than it looks in the artists renderings.

The crane was moved to the other side, so I assume they're getting ready to put up the rest of the steel frame. The block houses are gone.

I was under the impression that the Block Houses would not be removed till after the season. Since the season was cancelled maybe they decided to get them out of the way now. If the plan was to remove them at this stage of the build why not do it before any construction started to get them out of the way. Seems like weird timing unless there was a change in direction do to the season being cancelled/postponed.

It looks like more steel is going up today.

I wish someone would go move the camera closer to the window to see if it will cut down on the reflection, plus the door to the room with the camera in it is open, which is probably increasing the reflection. Not that I don't appreciate having the camera up and running. Just a thought on improving it.

Does anyone have an honest answer about what the plan for the scoreboard is?

The last I heard from Costello was that the scoreboard will be replaced, possibly before next season. I have no idea if they are going to put the new scoreboard in another location or use the existing posts.
