If you're looking at that 2014 roster, I think Taylor Sheridan probably starts from the DL, Cole Moore and Singleton start at LB, and Deonte Flowers at CB all start on the 2019 squad. Dees, Na'a, Keeton and Marshall all get a bunch of playing time, although I'm not sure Marshall was better than JoJo Henderson. Regardless, plenty of good talent that would still be major contributors.

Talent was not the problem.
Who does Moore replace in the 19 lineup?
Cole played Sam throughout his career so obviously he would be replacing Troy or Hardy right? Cole was a very good coverage LB and was sound against the run. Singleton would be replacing Josh Hill at Will and then Josh would move into the Mike over Callahan O'Reilly. I guess you do what you can to get Moore, Singleton, Hill, and Troy on the field somewhere. Callahan, Jobman, Hardy, and Askelson would be the rotational depth.
Yeah I was just curious what Celtic thought the LBs would look like with a healthy TA since Moore obviously wouldn't start over him. I personally wouldn't have Moore starting over O'Reilly though. Would he still play a ton? Absolutely, but he lacked in the speed department and O'Reilly just has a nose for the ball.
Callahan is coming along nicely and I think as a MLB he is already better against the run than Cole ever was. My take is that Cole would be the second best coverage LB on the 2020 team, second to Troy. I still remember that SMU game where he was lining up against WR's in the slot and holding his own. He had a fantastic breakup on a 30-yard seem route in the endzone against a wideout in that game. A great highlight and I guess I didn't see him lacking in the speed department. A good talker none the less!

He may have been faster than I give him credit for. The awful defense in general could have made it look so. He's actually one of my all time favorites because he worked his as* off and made himself into a great player, and he wore my number.

Cormac Benn out of Bigfork might need a closer look. Kid is tearing it up through 2 weeks. 262 yards, 3TDs and an INT for a TD this week. Bigfork might be the best team in class B

Ok. Consider this notice a place holder for next years thread.

I watched Missoula Sentinel on NFHS last night. There was no play by play to tell who was who, but Sentinel looked like on the best high school teams I have seen in years. They are super fast but also have good size. Skill positions are unreal and they have some underclassmen that will be future FCS players. Vim will want to take a closer look at their defensive players as they also stood out last night.

Dang! Thought we had a good chance as we offered him a full scholarship. I was told he had a tuition offer from the Griz. But it sounds like his dad played basketball for the Griz back in the day.

Griz upped the offer.

Might be what Choate was talking about. That this class was basically full/done and some kids are wishing they had committed earlier.

Seems like MSU is still in the running for Rollins. Oregon State and BYU will be tough to beat out

I like our chances against a bad OSU team and an independent FBS school. I know he's got other factors besides football in his decision but it's great to see that the MSU staff has maintained a strong impression this far into the process and can hang with the bigger schools.

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!
