Nope, no politics involved at all in prolonging shutdowns. Also, how stupid does a person have to believe that ~20% of all global deaths from Covid are in the USA? CNN viewers...

How can Pelosi and the left call it Trumpvirus, but somehow the left blames Trump for politicizing the virus?
Uhhh, because she’s mimicking him?
Uhhh, no... That is a dumb excuse. She is politicizing the issue. Same with the Covid economic package. How much will the Democrats try to funnel to the Kennedy Center this time?

Sucks. A fixture near campus for almost 50 years.

So unnecessary...

Bailouts will be a lobbyist’s dream scenario. Today’s WA Democrats.

Mimicking him how? The virus originated in China and they sent infected people around the world.. Did Trump ever call it the Pelosi Virus? What’s the point here? That Pelosi represents China and Xi? Weird flex.

This thread is a disaster.

Anyone think it might be possible that both sides are using this pandemic for political purposes? Funny how the right wingers rail against CNN and Pelosi but don’t seem to take issue with Trump being such a dumbass that he can’t even make up his mind whether he can support wearing a mask or not. The left is no better, railing against Trump for deflecting blame and responsibility and then doing precisely the same thing.

During WW2 the country new it’s enemy and banded together to overcome it. Men went to war, women worked the factories and now those same people’s descendants act like children stuck in a political divorce. Most the country has chosen a side and no matter what happens or how bad it effects the nation we will not be moved from whatever camp we’ve decided to stand in.

The fact is Trump’s handling of this whole situation has been horrible and his inability to make tough decisions and provide a steady direction has made us worse off than we should have been. We use to set the example for the rest of the world but certainly not anymore. The Democrats can go to hell too, Obama said that this exact issue is what kept him up at night and yet the left wasted their energy on important issues such as worrying about where 0.2% of the population is going to go to the bathroom.

Funny thing is, we get what we deserve. Childish citizens = childish leaders

You don't fly in the face of scientists and then change courses when your stupid ass ideas don't work. We've combatted viruses before by following CDC and doctor's plans. Why do we have to go with someone else's crazy plan to take a shortcut? What has it got us? The best thing we can do now is close down and start over. Maybe we can be like Europe by October

Quite possibly the best analysis of this entire pandemic I've seen in all of my skimming and scanning of journal articles and the media outside of a rather self-absorbed individual on another web site. "You get the leadership you deserve." is quite telling and humorous in its simplicity. I personally love quotes from the past and one Aristotle used still sticks out and ought to be examined today: "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." Of course Trump is an arsehole. He's from New York and that is not only implied, it's understood. Pelosi was raised in and around Baltimore and wound up representing one of the wealtiest districts in America with ~35-40% oriental voting base. Anyone and everyone who interfers with this particular rich bitch's constituency is going to be attacked.

The nice thing about today's media is how all we have to do is google the ****** various politicians said years ago and compare it to what the lying bastards are saying today. Trump owned his comments, inappropriate as they were, about women when he was young. Biden? Y'all are forgetting just how much the majority of the country hated the administration he was a part of and continues to cringe everytime that family speaks. Anyone who listens to Michelle Obama understands how she completely forgot where she came from and how arrogant she's become. Jim Messina knew enough about the American public that the first thing he did in the reelection campaign was to distance Obama from peanuthead Carter. It worked really well. Those two individuals are what the two parties can come up with to be "The most powerful man in America." Really?

This entire thread is a ****** of ignorance on both sides. Several senior officials in big pharma have gotten filthy rich(er) with well over 300 million doses of vaccine (paid for by the government outside of the CARES Act) waiting for the final round of testing. Reading all the comments shows just how selfish and entitled this great country has become. It reminds me of my idiot relatives who flaunt the Second Amendment in my face and yet they never went near the military, volunteer fire department or would never think of joining the National Guard or Reserves.

Yes, well said. Nothing more to add, just whole heartedly agree.
