MSU Giving Day- Support Bobcat Athletics Scholarships

Post by BethanyCordell » Thu Feb 13, 2020 2:13 pm

My dearest Bobcat Nation-

Happy MSU Giving Day! I wanted to take a quick moment to post here and challenge this group of passionate fans to make a small gift to the Bobcat Club Annual Scholarship Fund for MSU's first-ever Giving Day.

The growth of the Bobcat Club Annual Scholarship Fund has been fantastic over recent years, but we still need to do more. In 2019, $409,085 was pulled from the athletic department’s operating budget to fully fund our student-athlete scholarships, and the sooner we close that gap with fundraising... the more money stays in our operating budget to get more done.

Please consider making a small gift today (either as a new donor or in addition to what you generously donate already) and/or sharing with your friends and family to help us grow our membership in the Bobcat Club.

I appreciate every one of you! I'll even consider bringing Hells Bells back for 3rd Downs if we get a bunch of donors from Bobcat Nation. :D

It's not about the size of the gift today and tomorrow... every new donor means the world to us.

This needs a bump. At 1pm today when I gave it was at $40K. Look at it now. Please consider. Thanks.

Lots of great programs to donate. I just sent mine in. I assume @FTG_1984 will be matching at any moment.

They are at $244,601 raised from 1,407 donors with 1hr 20min to go.

It's interesting that the Leadership Institute and Jabs Hands on are basically tied for the top spot at nearly 12,000 and next is Spirt of the West Marching band at $10k

I’m telling my kids for sure to get some sort of IT degree. We pay our IT support a fortune each month. If you get a good IT guy, keep them any means necessary. Running a business has allowed me to see just how important IT is. Your IT department or if you outsource IT is one of the most valuable parts of a successful business these days. Really wish I would have got an IT degree versus an accounting degree.

If your left, you aren’t right.

Amazing that about $70,000 was raised in the last hour of the campaign. Surpassed their goal by $20k and had 50% more donors than they hoped to spur into giving.
